Probably. The salary cap brought a high degree of parity to the NFL, but it has also ruined the quality of play because it created a youth movement. Basically there are two paths to winning now. One is to have a veteran franchise QB who is paid a ton and pray that he is good enough to overcome the shortcomings on the roster that his large salary will create. Tom Brady. The other is to get really lucky in the draft and have a great team around a really good young QB and hope you win during the window. Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Jared Goff and Dak Prescott. I think you are going to see a change with those 2. You pay those guys the going rate of 30 mil + per year then what you are saying will continue. If not, you may see a change.
