Was that the ugliest win in KIrk's tenure??????????????????????????

We've defeated two teams with tough, tough defenses and we've now won in two hostile environments (Jack Trice is hostile when Iowa plays there) It was ugly, but I don't care. I'm hoping Wisconsin's tough defense and the strong win had a lot to do with it.

Uglier games for me would probably be the 6-4, the aforementioned Illinois game, and the Michigan State game from 2012 were ugly. Another ugly game for would be the Penn State game from 2002 just because we blew a huge lead to take it to OT and games with a blown lead like that (or even one where the other team comes close) always feel worse than a low scoring game with a bunch of mistakes like this one.

This is why I am big KF fan

Iowa with a great win on the road and the forum gets these stupid *** / child like threads

GOD DAMN ... go post over at the ISU site

You're on my list tough guy. Jon called it an ugly game, should he also post on a Clone site?

PSU 2004 was ugly. MN 2009 was nearly just as bad from a yardage standpoint. The Syracuse road win in 2006 was not a lot of fun.

But who cares? They won. They won today in a hostile environment and the defense did work.

Jon pop quiz:

Last QB to start 6-0????????????

Didn't Stanzi start 6-0 in 09? (9-0 in fact)

In 09 he did indeed start 90.

But . . . what was his record in his first 6 starts? (think 08)

Does not matter. The weight of that Biels-sized monkey was FINALLY lifted. This was a win that transcends ugliness. This was a program momentum shift, and, for that, is Mona Lisa-esque in its beauty.

I would almost rank 2009 Indy-Iowa holloween eve, Tyler Sash ping-pong interceptioon game as a n ugly win. Indy dominated that game for 3Q, but Iowa hung in there and somehow won a blowout.
