Barta is confident that Iowa is one of the those Top 100 teams.

I believe Barta won't take a CBI bid because of the Big Ten. He said there is no mandate from the conference, but I'm sure they have made it known they don't want to see it. There is no way he would turn down a Motor City Bowl invitation and that would be the equivalent of a CBI bid.

What else can barta really say other than I'm confident we are one of those teams. That said I think we have an outside shot, and I think it will come down to us and MN.

We deserve it over Minnesota, but that doesn't mean we'll get it. However we still need teams like Nevada and Long Beach State to win their conference tourneys or they will get NIT bids. LBSU might be in regardless but that would still ultimately take an at-large from the NCAA away and push them to the NIT.
