last time uthoff was on the cover, the downfall started no long after. Now that he's on the cover again, maybe a reversal of fortune. I don't know how the SI cover jinx works if the same guy appears on it twice in the same season.

What really scares me is that Jok may be on the cover in a few weeks because he absolutely gets on fire, I mean like nothing we've ever seen and carry us to a National Title, and then go pro while his draft stock has peaked. That would suck 'cause we're really gonna need him next year.

And how would this scare you? Goodness...if we ever win a national title...we can go winless for a few years for all I care. I would trade quite a bit for those title moments...I have already said I would trade every Iowa basketball and Chicago Bears victory going forward if it meant getting to see the Cubs win the series.

Maybe instead of other teams going 12 for 22 from 3 against us-typical of teams against us since the first cover-they will go 3 for 22 or something. We'll be thanking SI by Sunday.
