Uthoff: Do You Think He's Regretting His Decision?

With the success of Wisconsin, do any of you think Jarrod Uthoff in any way could be regretting his decision to transfer from Wisconsin to Iowa?

Fair question! The schools are nearly identical as far as region, campus, education. One place, he could have been a national champion. Another place, he has the potential to be the star of the team. It depends on if he is more of a team player or into individual accolades.

It mostly depends on how big of a Hawkeye fan he is and how much he hated Wisconsin while he was there. If i had to chose between playing for the team i loved growing up and being on a random team that i hated being a part of that happened to win a NC, it would be an easy decision for me as long as my favorite team was competitive.

Question is would he be starting over Hayes?? And if he did they would have 5 white starters..

Yes, that's what I thought, he'd be battling with Hayes. With his length & ability, I think he'd be getting playing time & splitting with Hayes as well as Dekker. He'd be a good addition but wouldn't have gotten the PT he got at iowa this year. It has to be in the back of his mind though, only natural & expected. There is always the what if?

Does he miss Bo? Probably not. However he is human he is probably doing the "what if" right about now.

Doubt it. If he didn't want to stay and play for Wisconsin, I'm not sure a trip to the Title game would have changed that. Whatever his reasons were, he made his choice. Now he has to live with it. Most people don't find it that difficult.

Just more fuel for uthoff's work in the off season if badgers can win tonight. Really hope he can contend for bigtens best player next year. Either he had a real problem with bo or he wanted to play where he could be the teams best player. Could had wanted to be closer to family too.

He is a hawkeye. Always was. Just couldn't commit to the dumpster fire.

Uthoff probably has a lot of friends on the Wisconsin team. They probably would of beaten Duke with Uthoff. He is pretty good offensively and can cause problems for the other team defensively.

He's be the sixth man off the bench at best.

I don't know if he would of started for Wisconsin or not, but they might of won with Uthoff. I think the officiating was kind of one sided the last ten or fifteen minutes of the game. Wisconsin was leading when Duke started driving into the Wisconsin players. The officials decided to just let them play which was against how Wisconsin plays the game. I thought Duke got away with a couple of charges that changed the game.

He could have been the first loser if he stayed.

Well IMO having a player of his caliber that can go off for 20 pts at any time and routinely hits shots where he is closely guarded could have easily tipped the scale in Wiskys favor.

Uthoff is much better than Dukkan who plays allot.

Really, they might have gone undefeated with Uthoff.
