Uthoff Deciding by Monday Night

I don't know, I haven't seen anyone ripping a kid because he chose ISU over Iowa while having offers from both. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, just that I haven't seen it.

That being said, I don't follow recruiting other than what I read here or in the paper. I find that trying to figure out what a 16-year old kid is going to do to be somewhat of an exercise in futility.

If this kid would be a good get, that's fantastic. If he doesn't come to Iowa, I wish him the best wherever he does end up.

Wow, it is very apparent that you are incapable of reading. Happens all of the time.

I get that you are not bright enough to understand life, that is pretty apparent in the way that you surround yourself with people that won't challenge you Sara Palin, but you can't be this dumb.

It has to be impossible for ANYONE to be this dumb. I am sure that you are God's greatest mistake since Rosie O'Donell.

QUIT BEING THAT GUY, YOU ARE EMBARRASING THE SPECIES!!!

Yes, very dumb. From the looks of it you must be a Cyclone fan. With that said, your response is that of a fan that if Uthoff does select Iowa over ISU, is probably the same Clone fan thinking that think Freddy will own in-state recruiting. Here is example one, if it goes down, shows it wont be the case. Try to cove it up any way you can.
Really, you dont need to "own" Iowa for recruiting in Bball to have success, you must be thinking of football. Other than 2012, Iowa is not a hot ground for prospects. If you can get a good Iowan every other year, thats ok. Its all about getting good athletes and a mix of hard working mid westerners.

Again, with this nonsense. And I am sure that the mouth breathers on here never do the same thing, do they?

It's a good pick up for Iowa. Be happy you got a good player. It's a win for the coaching staff, Iowa finally signed someone that lives 30 minutes from Iowa City.

Did I say 50 earlier? Looks you're way ahead of the pace you set on CF.

There is a smile on my face, and it's there because I know that you're very quickly coming to the end of your time here.

He would be the skinniest kid in the Big Ten. He needs to add a ton of weight.

Are you visualizing him as a 3 or 4? Either way he needs to gain weight but if I had to guess I'd say his freshman year we will see him as a backup 3 and not redshirt. (I will confess I've never seen him play).

I did notice in an interview he said "spend next 4 or 5 years there" so redshirting is definitely not out of the picture.

I am sure that you are.

I am fairly certain that with your limitations, you are afraid to deal with people that have real opinions, and love pointing out hypocrites like you that are scared to step outside your own box.

It is also sad to see how simple you are Corkey. I mean what did momma have to do to get you into elementary school there Forrest?

I haven't really seen you express an opinion that wasn't disuguised as an attack on either the Iowa fan base in general, or the person you were responding to. If you actually had an opinion, it's really too bad that you're incapable of expressing it in a way that doesn't make you look like a complete *******. But...that seems to your MO.

I guess I see him as a swing player who can play in a 4 out 1 in type of offense. I personally think he would be a great fit at a UNI or Creighton due to his make up. The Big Ten will be tough on him due to his slight frame and quickness issues. It is very hard to project these types of players though and that is why the coaches get the big bucks.

I warned you earlier.

Yea I'd agree with all of this. He does have tremendous upside with his handling/shooting skills and if he can gain weight he could be a force at 6'9. I selfishly want him over him over going to UNI or Butler because while he develops I think he can be a solid bench contributor. Assuming the rest of the class goes well we would actually have time for Uthoff to develop and grow with May/McCabe.

I'm always amused by someone calling someone out as a dumb person when they do so with misspelled words and poor grammar.

Jon, get this guy off of here...please!

Yes it would be a great start, there are folks out there that think Iowa shouldn't recruit Iowa kids.

Really? Name one. Iowa should recruit the best players we can get. If some of them happen to be in Iowa, that's great.

But when you have people mindlessly scheming about how we should shuffle scholarships to make sure we can take every DI prospect in the state, it's over the top.

Fran can rate talent with the best of them

Fred H also wants him

The kid is good he will be a good player

Listening to Chris Williams on the radio he said Uthoff was the top player on their "Board" this would be a huge get and any Cyclone fan that says they didn't want him is lying

The issue isn't whether Iowa should recruit all D1 prospects in Iowa, but rather if Iowa should recruit mid-major D1 talent. When we see Iowa signing Iowa kids with only mid-major offers, and then Iowa not succeeding with Iowa kids with other major conference offers, that gets frustrating.

And no, I am not saying that just cause other schools offer a kid, Iowa should. But there has been a bad trend that has developed over the last few years where the most desirable talent has left the state and the kids that have stayed haven't had any high major offers and have lacked the physical tools or skills to be more than serviceable as Big Ten players.
