Urban Meyer knew about 2015 domestic violence

I just read how ex-players are coming out now about how abusive Urban has been towards them, making them go way beyond what a body should do in the weight room, then calling them "p----es" and that kind of thing if they don't perform the way he wants them. Sounds like guys got hurt in the weight room or during practice because of how hard Urb worked them and how hard he rode them if they didn't perform to his liking.

I know it's not supposed to touchy-feely at training camp but this ^ kind of stuff can go too far.
Oh man, that's way worse than giving guys rhabdo.

The best players that he both recruited and helped to coach at Iowa are Louis Trinca-Passat and Carl Davis. Neither of them actually played much under his watch. The former was going to quit the team if Kac wasn't gone.

Granted, but to be a stickler I didn't say good recruiter. Coaching a guy technique and such he seems to have gotten the job done. With the kids he actually coached. How he got the job done was the main issue.

Yeah, it seemed to work until it didn't. He was probably great with hard-nosed guys like Ballard, Clayborn, and Daniels. He seemed a lot less great in dealing with guys who needed more "building up." A great coach can adjust to what the athlete needs.

Fair enough.

Has anyone heard one word from Kirk Herbstreit on this? I have not and am shocked with how much of a big wig he is in regards to college football on ESPN and he played for OSU in the 90's. The guy has been MIA.

It is because he is trying to distance himself from the situation. It is funny though that for at least the first day, this story was all over Hawk Nation there was not one headline story on ESPN. I am sure the buckeye worshipping pukes at ESPN are very nervous

Herbstreit is now on ESPn being asked about this. He is very somber

Ok so now Urban is at war with Gene Smith. I kinda thought this might be his best play. A little he said she said. Maybe Gene is ready to fall on his sword for the university.

Sorry I lied before, but I definitely followed proper protocol in 2015. Maybe I'll explain later why I didn't fire his ass 3 years ago... derp derp?

Lol it is laughable, but you must admit this really is his only play to keep his job. Better to admit to lying to the media then it is to cover the whole thing up. By saying he told Gene then he might just be able to slip the axe as it finds Gene's neck instead.

Watching the Zach Smith interview on ESPN, what an f-ing liar and demented F he truly is. HE said he never hit his wife. The interviewer asks how she had brusies on her body, Smith then get's flustered, stutters, eyes flitching and he gets this evil grin on his face and said his relationship with his wife was toxic and she got those brusies bumping into him while trying to get around him in the doorway....it something along those lines and a flat out lie on his part. His facial expressions proved he is a liar.. He kind of came across as if he is the victim in all of this. He's a disturbed individual.

She fell down the stairs when he was at church.

I'm a little confused. Were you referring to Smith or this guy?

WTAF, you are seriously calling them Scapegoats?? Umm... pretty sure none of those you listed were innocent.

Definition of scapegoat
1 : a goat upon whose head are symbolically placed the sins of the people after which he is sent into the wilderness in the biblical ceremony for Yom Kippur
2 a : one that bears the blame for others
b : one that is the object of irrational hostility

Hopefully you meant something else.

Edit: I guess Urban could be if he was completely unaware of the whole situation and gets fired for it, but that doesn't seem likely based on the evidence provided at this point

OK, "sacrificial lambs", i.e,, those folks have to take the blame AND be the one who falls on the sword to protect others. In other words, Nassar takes the heat off Izzo and D'Antonio to some degree.
