Urban Analysis....Iowa at Michigan

There is nothing stopping KF from hiring ex head coaches. Or attempting to hire those guys. Nothing at all. Period. He chooses not to. It is not an issue of money. His coordinators will probably be making one million bucks
How does he hire a roster full of 4* and 5*?
Won’t other programs be hiring those coaches at those prices, too?

I thought you meant BF as OC was 0-4 against Harbaugh since he was a NFL HC that went to a super bowl. But I think BF is 0-1 against Mich as OC
Yeah, I get it. But this thread isn’t about the brilliance of Brown (who, ironically, Michigan fans don’t think is all that brilliant).

The thread is about Some posters lauding over The Legend who in his brilliance was schooling BF from a tape after the game and they were intentionally neglecting how BF schooled The Legend on the field.

This is not about Brown. If it was then I wouldn’t have made the same damn point five days after I made the point in the game thread that Brown was out-coaching BF.

All thIs shows is that some one has some one else’s number. That happens all the time in football. And yes, this is a very very small sample size but that hasn’t stopped Da Haters from using it.

It is all about setting up Jr. That is why the former OC came back as an instructor/ tutor/ babysitter.
And he is collecting a pretty good paycheck as well.

Which begs the question. We have two former OC's on staff and Joe Moore award winning o-line coaches as well. Why couldn't we figure shit out on Saturday? Have the training wheels been completely removed or still TOO many guys on the headset?

So Hawks every year 12 - 0 or fire fire fire! What record is acceptable?

Apparently.
I'm beginning to think that all the contempt on Husker fans unrealistic expectations haven't tainted a lot of posters here that have the same unrealistic expectations. it's a virus or husker trolls, i'm not sure which.

There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be Wisconsin's equal. We haven't been for several years. Do you agree? How many coaches has Wisky had during Kirk's tenure? Four. They have all.out performed Kirk. Wisconsin has 33 more victories than us since 1999. Approximately 1.75 more wins per year.

Kirk doesn't feel pressure to win. He is way too comfortable. He has been setting up Brian to succeed him and more than likely left wins on the field because of it. He kept Davis as long as he did so he wouldn't subvert Brian's career. He could have found a more qualified OC but again see Brian's career. How can anyone argue that Kirk hasn't put family ahead of the program? This should piss off everyone. And it was highlighted by that offensive shitshow last Saturday. 8 sacks? Seriously. And Kirk's response was don't question me because I was an offensive line coach and that happens. Nothing to see here. Unbelievable. Does Saban or Belichik or any other winner respond this way? There were zero adjustments. No pressure to change. No pressure to succeed.

Everyone agrees we are a developmental program. Kirk prides himself in this fact. But that doesn't mean we have to be a developmental program for an OC and a future head coach. A family member to boot. Name another P5 program that does this? Actually you could argue that we should have hired the best possible candidate to compensate for our inherit disadvantage of being a developmental program. Correct?

And we were 12-2, not 12-0. We lost to the two best teams on our schedule. I don't expect another 12 wins in my lifetime. Never expected it in 2016. But we should expect our head coach to put program first and EXECUTE better before and during games. We then might rise to Wisconsin's Ievel.

Finally, take that troll accusation shit somewhere else. I have been a Hawk fan for 50 years.

That pretty much sums it up

Man. Throwing out the union card of I have been here longer than anyone else!!! I see. About half of those years as a shitty fan I bet.

That empty set look, so often, was a really bad idea against Michigan. We couldn't have drawn it up any better for them. Iowa should hire Urban Meyer as a consultant.
I agree Hayden used to always blitz the empty set because there was absolutely no run threat....seems logical doesn't it? Even watching the Pats last night most of their shotgun sets had 1 back in the backfield so people just couldn't tee off.

Your impressive font doesn't make it true.

Just not a fan of nepotism and entitlement and unaccountability. Kirk has been both unaccountable off the field (rhabdo) as well as on. He is now even providing cover for Jr. as he pushes him forward.

But I can put country before party. The next time you preen in the mirror while adjusting your red cap ask yourself that question Deano.

You really think that a different OC changes anything? I'm sure you bitched about KOK non stop, then bitched about Greg Davis non stop, and now you are bitching about Brian. Rhabdo? I mean why don't you just also say that KF should be fired for his 1 win season, or complain about his salary while you are at the ancient history lesson.

Jesus are you lumping KOK in with Derp and Jr? Blasphemy! He won a freaking Orange Bowl.

Lol!! Do you really believe if Rhabdo happened today Kirk would be seated at that table being "grilled" by the Iowa media? There would the father of some imaginary player beneath the 3 deep, a first year resident in dermatology, and the guy in charge of the Sunday morning Kinnick cleanup crew doing their best to answer questions. And of course someone would win an award after it was all said and done.

Kirk can't even take responsibility for that offensive shitshow last week. The one where those o-line geniuses watched Wolverines run around us and through us.

But hey, just for the record Deano I am predicting our defense keeps us in the game again but this time someone steps up, like Keith Duncan, and we win it by a field goal in regulation or OT. We execute our plays perfectly 50% of the time and cut our sacks in half but this is good enough to win a nailbiter. Brian fires up a Cuban. And Kirk cries. It's all good. Truly.
