Does Iowa foul on every single shot? If you ask the JV girls B team crew working the game tonight they do. Wow. Makes the game unwatchable. Dayton is kicking our *** just fine without the help.
 
It's bad. That wasn't even remotely a foul on Gesell there. Dayton can just slam into the lane and it's always a foul on Iowa.
 
Both the 3rd foul calls on Woody and Mike we're bad. Looks like we just got one back.

I agree, to me it's hurting the game watch ability as there is no flow.
 
I was watching the Bears/Packers game and forgot we were playing. During a tv time out I channeled surfed and came across our game. Can't believe we are struggling with frickin Dayton.

Dayton is a good bball school. Not sure why you would be surprised.
 
We got beat by a better team tonight that was more athletic and played harder than we did. I think we're a good team, but we have to get a lot better if we want to have a good season.
 
When we are only able to have 5 people on the court while they have 5 plus the refs it makes it pretty tough to win. Good come back by the hawks but some terrible calls down the stretch made it impossible to close. Our free throw shooting didn't help either
 
We lost this game because Woody is still terrible (three years and still nothing...maybe it's time to move on?) and Fran choked the last possession. Now you have to beat ND tomorrow or the entire tournament is a failure. If you win tomorrow, you'll get a good game against Wichita St.
 
Dayton is a good team and we almost won so it's by no means a bad loss. The team will have a lot of things to work on, but Dayton is a hell of a defensive team. We didn't have many easy baskets and still kept it close.

Yep,that was a huge blown call along with the play that Gesell had the ball knocked out of his hands and they called it Dayton's ball and also the play where they called it off Jok on the rebound when it looked like 2 Dayton players potentially knocked it out.

First half defense and rebounding were awful. Gesell getting 2 fouls really hurt and we couldn't establish anything inside due to their size. Late in the shot clock, they could break us down and get to the rim or kick for easy shots while we struggled to get deep 3's. Still a work in progress and Baer and Ellingson played well. Like to see Clemmons be more aggressive.

Glad I wasn't the only one that saw the ball go off the taller Dayton player. Don't know why that wasn't overturned.
