Uniform sacrifice

If that offense comes with those uniforms I’ll happily sacrifice the old ones. Possibly forever. I’m in complete shock and disbelief. I’m 43 years old and never thought I’d see any Iowa team beat down Ohio State that way. Let alone this team this year.

They not only looked faster and more athletic in the new unis, but everyone at our Dallas area game watch swore that they actually played faster and more athletic in them.....that can't be every watchers imagination. It was refreshing not to see white socks pulled up to the knee, making every player look like a slow plodding daddy long legs.

Now that you say it, I was subconsciously thinking the same thing. So I think you're right.

I've always liked the old jerseys but I have to admit I like these alts. If we're ever going to change, I say keep these!

The speed was already there. It was a huge breakout but I think it begins with the two very young offensive tackles maturing. That makes the rest of the offensive line much more effective as a unit. With the offensive line stepping up the rest of the offense has a chance to step up as well.

Good alt unis, stick with the curtain. They looked faster because we were running downfield on offense and up field on defense. That's what it looks like when you're not playing the entire game within 10 yards of the LOS.

I wouldn't change our unis. Alts are fun and recruits love them though. If anything I would maybe wear 2 different alts each year. I would love to see a similar style in all gold.

I 100% GUARANTEE that recruits do not give a rats ass about any Steeler/Hayden/Iowa thingy....they would go ape shit to wear these unis EVERY game....and the sacrifice should be made despite a bunch of blue hairs who will want to keep the "traditional" played out crap, complete with white 1978 Wig Wam brand knee high socks.

Hey I wear wigwams once in a while

I would stretch out the Hawk logo on the Helmet by about 15%....still too round. And do away with the stripe on the side of the pants....all black is the way to go. I will make one consideration...the ANF can stay if it remains small, and on the back of the helmet....NOT on the top!!!
