Joe Henrikson from the Sun Times says that Tyler Ulis picked up a Michigan State offer today. I know that it has been talked about how Ulis really wanted an offer from MSU. Do we still stand a chance of landing him?

Also seems to be rumors that Matta is starting to poke his head around and may offer Ulis. That would get me worried as I believe he is originally from Ohio and it may appeal to him to play at OSU.

Please don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about. Tyler Ulis is one of the best prospects in the country.
At least we're still in the picture with Dominique Collier. If we get him, the Ulis problem becomes no problem at all.

Iowa had offered Ulis long before MSU did - relationships seem key in recruiting. Still think Iowa has at least a chance.
OSU and MSU would be tough competition for Tyler considering he grew up in Ohio and his cousin,Travis Walton,played at MSU.
That said, I think Iowa is still in good position,but when it comes to a 17 yr old person, hard to predict the final decision. Certainly, it is not good that MSU offered, but sometimes a young man wants to walk his own path,away from his cousin,and establish his own legacy in leading a program like Iowa to the promised land. Anybody can do it at MSU.

I don't care if a guy is short, so long as he can play. Pierre Jackson ain't exactly Andre the Giant, but he certainly didn't have any trouble tearing Iowa a new one in MSG.

Don't forget we're in on Lourawls Nairn as well. One of these three would be great.
Not real familiar with him, just checked his rivals page quick. Seems more Ulis' size? Agree we need to score a top tier PG with this class that can make our offense click. Be interesting to hear what someone says about the 3 who has seen them play. i do like Collier's size, 6'2 I believe.
By all means check out his highlight tape. He's got a handle in a half and can put the ball in the bucket from all over. If he can beef up alittle and get close to 180 he's around 150 now I think he'll be more then solid PG at the D1 level. He's tearing up the city of Chicago and we all know there are some good players there yr in and yr out.

Nairn is shorter but he definitely has a different body than Ulis. Nairn is pretty well put together. Actually, he reminds me a lot of Pierre Jackson in his size and athletic abilities.
