Davidson shoots a ton of 3s and averages 80 points a game and a ton of assists. I'd expect to see a ton of zone for Iowa and pounding inside with Uthoff/White/Gabe/Woody.

It's one of those games where if Davidson is hitting their 3s Iowa is in trouble.

Not if Iowa plays defense with a sense of urgency as they did their final 6 games regular season games. Play like they did (a lot of standing around) in the 2nd half against PSU and yes they could be in trouble.

I don't understand how people don't like this draw. It's Davidson people. Idc what there numbers are. They lost to VCU by 20 who is without their best player. They gave up 93 points to VCU who can't score more than 55 a game. They barely beat Lasalle the game before cuz they had to come back from 25 down. Who have they beat? VCU maybe once? They're from the A10. What else do you want? Would you rather play a major conference team? There's no reason Iowa shouldnt win by 10+. They have 2 guys under 6 ft and biggest starter is 6'7". Wait til they have Uthoff and White close out on them. And they can't play D. I don't think anybody on their team is gonna pull a Steph Curry. I love this draw. No reason you shouldn't.

I watched a lot of their game Friday against La Salle. They should have lost. They are not big and have zero chance of playing with us inside...and have no inside game of their own. If I could have hand picked any of the 10, 11 or 12 seeds to play I would have picked Davidson. We absolutely could not have gotten a better draw. And Gonzaga in the next round is also a great draw...as we have all been saying for the last few weeks. I don't know if we will make it to the Sweet 16 but this is my dream scenario...our best chance by far IMO.

VCU did outboard them by 13, shot 12/24 from 3 and held to Davidson to 26%3pt shooting. If we could do that, we'd win going away too. I know Davidson is a great shooting team from the arc but, as short as they are, Uthoff and Jok will be able to shoot flat-footed from the 3pt line without any worries. Can we defend them and hold onto the ball ourselves? This could be a game where our PGs' relative strengths- ball control, pretty good defenders, could pay dividends. Pound it inside boys!
