15-4 would up being the final score. The RPI got moved all the way back to #58. Damn that sucks!
 
So Iowa goes 2-1 at home against a higher rated RPI team to start the series and gains one spot while Irving goes 1-2 and gains 5 spots from May 2?

Hope eyeballs see Iowa has won four series (swept one of them) against teams that will be in post-season.

The problem with RPI is it heavily rewards the road team. Home teams count as .7 wins while road teams get credit for 1.3 wins. So essentially Iowa only beat Irvine 1.4 wins to 1.3 and since Iowa has a good record (percentages play a huge role) Irvine got a very nice RPI bump while Iowa did not. Iowa REALLY needed that win yesterday.
 
I don’t think people realize how great of a series win it was vs a near college baseball powerhouse UCI. Cali kids probably thought they’d come to the Midwest just to beat up on Iowa. Hell of a job by Heller. Best athlestic coach we have had since 2014, or at least up there with KF and LB
