This kid is just scratching the surface offensively.
Last night he finished with 14 points on 3-11 FGs (8-11 FTs). All three of his made FGs were dunks. If he makes even half of his other shots which were all layups he goes for over 20.
The impressive thing for me is the way he was able to drive Thomas Bryant, who is one of the better bigs in the league, underneath the basket using his strength. He did the same to Morgan against Illinois. As he keeps getting stronger and more confident I think he will start finishing those shots. He's got a nice left hand too.
His shooting stroke is nice, and I think next year he will have a consistent mid range jump shot as another weapon in his game.
He still has a long way to go on defense, but I think he can improve mightily there. To me it looks like he's just overthinking everything on that end and just needs to play.
The kid is going to be special.
