Two Players with Iowa ties on Outland Watch List

Saw on KCRG last night that Karl Klug has been placed on the Outland Trophy watch list. He is one of 63 offensive lineman/defensive tackles placed on the list.

Additionally, Ben Lamaak (Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Iowa State) is also listed on the watch list.

How is it possible that Adrian Clayborn would not be on that list? He may be the best DL in the nation...much less the top 63.

Really?

Honestly did not know that...that's crazy. Is there some sort of seperate award for DE's?
Nothing specifically for DEs. They have one for LBs and DBs.
DEs are eligible for the Bednarik and Nagurski.

Clayborn and Sash are both on the watch list for Nagurski.

Ted Hendricks?...you got Jimmy on your mind this morning...;)

A better question is how Christian Ballard got left off this list. I am not certain that a team can only have one player and I am sure you can win an award without being on the list. But he was dominant at times last season and will probably be that way full time this year.

At the bottom of the watch list, it does say that a player can be added or taken off of the list during the season.

To answer your question on more than one player, that must not be the case, both of Ohio State's guards and center are on the watch list.
