Two deeps for Maryland; Jake Duzey back

Put LD in at fullback. Give him some plays along with his blocking assignments. That is all.

The trapping, double teaming offensive line we have now doesn't need a bulldozer to get yardage. Could use speed more. Get a running game more like Wisky's running game post 1999.

Is Duzey really back at full strength? I wonder if he is really having difficulty cracking the top 2 in depth now. Did Krieger-Coble and Kittle pass him up?

Do you think fans are wanting more out of Duzey then he can deliver. I mean he's a solid player but has he really ever consistently torn it up? Maybe a lot of that is on Davis's system, but, I really don't have an idea where his ceiling is at.

You too fast for any added thoughts. I put those in my previous post, Ibahawkeye. Give the fullback more offensive ability. I don't think LD and his style of Weisman-like running is going to get many touches at halfback.

I don't think Wadley gets as much credit as he deserves. Because he was our 2nd 200 yard rusher, people just say we can plug anyone in and tear it up. That's true to some extent, but Wadley has the ability to get max yardage on every play. From just watching his individual runs and moves, I would say he is the best back on the team by far.

I agree. When watching, Wadley seems to have this little "wiggle" to him deceiving the defenders. He just has this shake-n-bake that the others don't seem to have. Mitchell is kind of a plug and play so not sure how much RB is his "natural" position. Daniels is a downhill bruiser when healthy. Canzeri is a nice overall back and is an upperclassman with experience to his advantage. I still don't know how much to trust Daniel's ankle at this point and Canzeri is just starting to recover from his so is out this week anyway.

I think Wadley currently has the most upside for gaining yards on the ground. Hopefully he can block well and his smaller frame can hold up well.

How about this: We have some darn fine running backs, who are varied in their strengths. Let us be grateful, because we will likely need all of them with 62.5% (thanks, KF) of our BT schedule left to play...and then the BT championship, then a big bowl game, or two...ok, ok, I will shut up now.

Wadley, Mitchell, Daniels - 1, 2 or 3? That issue pales to the question - What is the status of Beathard's health? He is the beginning, middle and end to the continued success of the Hawkeyes this year.

This. All of the backs have shown to be more than capable, CJ and his play is the catalyst that will keep defenses honest. KF said he has been throwing well this week, took most of last week to rest. We need him close to 100% asap.

MD will blitz....a lot. Need to keep CJ as clean as possible. Running game and defense needs to bring it.
