Two-Deep for Wyoming

Nothing that I'm aware of. But there has been talk of Iowa fielding 4 DE's at the same time in certain situations. PH would slide inside, in that configuration. That's what I've heard. Will have to see if it actually happens. I think it would be both Nelson, Hesse and AJ. But, I think AJ may play inside, also, on a fairly regular basis.

I don't think AJ will play inside this year. I think they'll allow him to learn the outside this year and then perhaps years to come and depending on roster, he could slide inside.

I think he'll just stay outside along with A Nelson.

You could be right. I heard this pretty consistently on another site; reasons were that it's tough to displace PH and Nelly to give AJ playing time. Both guys are pretty solid and Nelly looks to have NFL potential. Also, allowing AJ to play inside would give him incredible knowledge in hand-fighting, leverage and going against double teams. Plus, he's one of our bigger guys. Also, if you gave AJ 1 of 4 plays at LDE, 1 of 4 at RDE, 1 of 4 at LDT and 1 of 4 at RDT, he'll be on the field a lot. So, just an example of how to get him on the field without really adversely impacting Nelly and PH.

It would be a waste to move AJ inside aside from spot situations. How often did JJ Watt slide inside for Wisconsin?
