Tubby Smith:‎"This may be the most disappointing loss of my career."

I'm not sure if it's that big of an overstatement. Go from up 16 to losing by 21, getting outscored over the final 33 minutes by a score of 67-30? That's pretty damn bad, and might be the nail in his coffin.

Agree... it's not so much the loss as how it happenned.

Can't fire a guy with these moves. :)

Lol, he moves about as fast as his players did on defense against us. The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree.

Be careful, truth is under appreciated around here.

Nobody denied Minnesota lacked depth. But saying they lack depth is not the same thing as playing off a 21-point win as nothing (and degrading people for thinking otherwise), which is what you've been doing.

When I heard this quote from Tubby and then thought back to the celebration after the Wisconsin win it made me think of something Fran frequently says. Never get too high or too low. I think Tubby did both and the players tend to follow the coach's lead.

Is Tubby seriously in trouble in Minnyland?

Oh yeah, Minny fans were expecting NCAA the past two seasons and they clapsed last season and now this season they are borderline in many people's eyes and they don't have that easy of a schedule left and they are sitting at 6-7 in conference.

I have said it and believe he was out coached. His team did not know what to do against our fluffer half court press and zone. I didn't see much for adjustments either. Minny has more talent IMO and they lost by 20. Out coached tubster

I think Minny has better talent in their top 4 players than Iowa but I think Iowa can go alot deeper in their bench than Minny can. Their subs looked completely lost and do barely anything to try to even keep their team in the game.

This was the thing that struck me Sunday. Iowa kept running the same half court press and the zone over and over to get back into the game and take the lead, and Minny had absolutely no response; Tubby and the team did nothing to adjust.
