Trump supporters, how do you square this?

So since you pocketed it, does that mean those big corporations and wealthy individuals kept it too?
In my hypothetical, I hired a new guy and possibly profited a small percentage. I would say that's pretty standard. Every time you hire someone, you should increase your personal profit. Otherwise what would be the point of taking on the extra risk? The tax break allowed the business owner to expand his business, therefore bringing himself more profit, giving more people a job, and boosting the economy. There is absolutely no doubt that there is something gained by doing this. The question is, does it gain enough to be an overall gain? Or does it cause more overall harm than good. (In this case the harm is the government doesn't have enough money to steal) That's the debate.

Anything you say "can" work, doesn't mean it works for the average person. Trickle down economics works great for the rich.
I didn't say it "can" work. I said it "does" work. It's just debatable on whether the gain is worth the loss. And again, the loss is the government has less money to waste.

I saw a video of Trump saying we wants to talk to China and Russia about all three countries cutting our military budget in half. Sounds like a dream idea for 100% of the world's population. The left is bashing it. TDS.
I don't think anyone has any issue with, or doesn't support, the idea of cutting military budgets in half. I think the issue people have (myself included) is that this is giving off way to big of a buddy buddy meeting vibe, especially with the way things seem to be going with Trumps allegiance to Russia in their war with Ukraine. If military budgets get cut that's a great thing. IF it's happening because Trump is severing ties with current allies to bring about a new dawn where Russia, USA, and China are allies then I see that as a huge problem.

Exactly. Turning our backs on Western Europe and embracing Putin is a terrible idea. Unfortunately, I think we're seeing it in real life, unbelievably.

I will never understand how right wing folks are pro Russia. Never, never, never.

Wouldn't becoming buddy buddy with Russia and China be best case scenario? As far as severing ties with current allies goes. Imagine having a friend who was always borrowing money off you and never paid you back. Also he's always asking you for help but MIA every time you need help. Other than that, he's a great friend you don't want to lose. I don't think there's anything wrong with confronting your friend and saying "I'm still your friend but you're done taking advantage of me". Then if they bail on your friendship, they weren't ever really your friend anyway. Whether Trump is right or wrong in his assessment of how our allies are treating us, it seems like that's what's going on here. If he's wrong in his assessment, it's going to come off really bad and we're going to lose allies for no reason. But if he's right, this has to be done. There are 30 year old videos of Trump complaining about how the US is treated with trade. He's had this axe to grind for a long time.

I don't think it's necessarily pro Russia. I think with most people it's that they don't care about Russia either way. I also think some people are so sick of the woke agenda that they look at places like Russia as more sane than Europe right now. There is some small truth in that.

"Woke" agenda is such a bullshit cop-out for knowing that Russia is absolutely a dictatorship and our enemy.

Why does a country who runs their government with a dictator have to be our enemy? Who cares how they run their own government?

And while the definition itself doesn't sound bad, the agenda itself is ridiculous.

Or in your scenario you turn your back on a country that has had your back while you've had theirs and start hanging out with the bullies in their own backyard. You referenced "if they bail on you then they weren't ever really your friends anyway", but how's that make us look when were the one that bailed? Example if I've always played the role of good guy and done this sort of thing for years and suddenly I decide to go hang out with the bullies who have been feared by these other countries for years then IMO its a terrible look for us.

Since Trumps been in office he's aggressively played the "you owe us" role toward our allies, but has been anything but the aggressor toward China and Russia and you see that as a good look. IMO from the outside it looks like Trump's switched allegiances and has taken the role of flexing with the countries he should be standing up to while turning his back on everyone else. And I get the axe to grind part, but you can grind the axe with allies and remain in a neutral position with Russian and China without giving off the perception that your becoming synonymous with the countries and leaders that have threatened those very same allies for years. Might as well call up ol' Kimmie and see if North Korea wants to get in on it with us.

Are you Eric or Don Jr??

What is your definition of woke - what does it mean to you?

Calling out racists or people that do bad things is ridiculous?

Calling for equal rights for all is ridiculous?

Is Megyn Kelly woke for freaking out about the Eagles not going to the White House ridiculous?

Is banning books that you don't like for being woke ridiculous?

Is the right being victimized by the liberal culture? How has it affected you?

Is cancel culture only happening on one side?

Trump is playing the "you owe us" card to our allies because he thinks they've been taking advantage of us. Have you ever seen the numbers we put into things like NATO and Ukraine compared to everyone else? We are being taken advantage of. To the tune of 36 trillion. Also I remember Trump getting a lit of flack for how hard he was on China in his first term.

I do get that it can come off as bad to other countries. The way Trump talks about it, he says other countries leaders know that new deals must be made because they know how one sided they've been. I think if that is true (I get that it's a big if for someone who thinks everything he says is a lie) them most countries will understand the new trade deals Trump is making.

Another thing Trump talks a lot about is stopping wars and not wanting people to needlessly die. I don't think he wants to see the world as allies and enemies. Seems to me he's trying to push an agenda of at least cordial to everyone. I feel like if anyone other than Trump were doing that it would be considered a good thing.

Woke is looking at everything through a racial lense and making everything about race. Woke is always trying to "out woke" everyone else. Anyone who is breathing knows what Woke is.

So, you got nothing... woke is trying to "out woke" everyone else??? Using the word in the definition is a different approach.

The UN demands Russia withdraw from Ukraine and the U.S., under tRump, votes AGAINST it. Make that make sense. Openly siding with Putin....shit I hope that doesn't make me woke to care about another country's right to peace and not to be killed by an invading force.
