Trump supporters, how do you square this?

No I don’t want people to lose jobs but I don’t want to pay people to do a job that’s not necessary. I am tired of the rampant inflation but like PC said we’re just beginning and JB has contributed to that way more than DJT. I will also say I’m not sure I like the decisions DJT is making as far as tariffs and such go but hopefully he knows what he’s doing. Tell me what you think DJT is doing to embrace enemies and dictators while alienating allies. I’m guessing you think Russia is an enemy. Why should we consider Russia as an enemy? Do you think it’s a good idea to continue giving away billions of dollars in weapons to a country that can’t win a war? How many people have to die before we say enough? I know you don’t believe it but you should believe DJT when he says that the war never would’ve started if he had been president and you’re also going to say that he gave Ukraine to Putin when the war ends. You won’t give him any credit but I will be happy that it’s over and soldiers are no longer dying and an added benefit is we will no longer be wasting billions of dollars on Ukraine.
Russia is an enemy and always has been. Do you remember the Cold War, Kennedy pushing them out of having nuclear missiles directed at us from Cuba, that Reagan did everything he could to weaken them? Putin is a dictator that has people killed that opposes him. Giving money to a country that was invaded and trying to protect their people is a bad thing? So, whatever Russia wants to take, we should just let them have it? What country is next after he gets what he wants? How exactly did Biden let that war start? Did he tell Putin to go ahead and take what he wants? tRump can get anything done and stop anything from happening….so hilarious. Keep drinking the Kool-aid. Why in the hell would I give him credit when he hasn’t done anything to improve our lives, all he does is tell lies and break promises that would help. I see the no tax on tips and overtime that he promised isn’t in the new budget to give the wealthy 4.5 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!

Are you also okay with us giving money and weapons to Israel to defend themselves from Hamas? Basically you want all countries to defend themselves and if they can’t, well then too bad. Are you going to be fine with the US invading Canada or Greenland or Panama or should they just give it to us so they don’t get anyone killed? I guess we should have stayed out of WW1 and WW2.

Russia hasn't always been an enemy. We fought with them in WW2. The whole "that country is our enemy, we need to fight them" isn't very liberal of you.

The "other side" story of how this war started is well documented by now. If you don't agree with it, that's fine. But either way, it's still the answer to your question.

4.5 trillion to the wealthy? That dollar amount doesn't even make sense compared to the billions of dollars the wealthy are worth.

Trump is preparing for 4 years of continuous corruption of our government. He's removed inspector generals so there can be no oversight. Trashing the CDC to ensure we are quite dumb and unaware of health issues on our horizon. USAID gone overnight so food is rotting, food is removed medication removed from the mouths of the world's neediest. Lives will be lost, likely already so. His minions are making enemies in Europe telling them of they don't go right wing off the ledge they are restraining free speech, whilst the world prepares for the US sanctioned giving of Ukraine to Trump's old master Putin. We have zero evidence of all of the corruption spewed by the liar in chief and his billionaire buddy. While transparency is their stated goal there is none. The man with the most contracts with the US government is cancelling other contracts and given full access with no vetting and Congress now has zero oversight of anything, with exception of the all important Biden's son's laptop that is the most important thing we face right? Those that were assigned to investigate criminal Trump are being fired from the FBI, criminals are set free after sending police to the hospital and morgue. Beat the blue then release the beaters. A criminal mayor is being bribed by giving him immunity from his crimes if he'll allow Trump to do whatever he wants to do in New York City. The government will work to take from the poor and give additional tax breaks to the rich, many of which pay no taxes already due to the many loopholes and cheating they already do, Trump included. This is the main charge of Mr Musk.

I see a bag of shit with orange make up sprayed all over. The worst of us leads us downward, where it stops only God knows.

This is no different than the Laken Riley case. Only way less bad. If you posting this story makes Trump bad, what does the Laken Riley story make Biden?
So immigrants are the only ones killing people? No Americans are doing these things? What about all the mass murders being done by Americans?

How in the hell is a murder being compared to people losing their jobs? Everyone knows murder is way worse and the argument you’re making isn’t fair to the discussion. How about all the people that will die because of losing their jobs or losing their healthcare or people committing crimes or suicide because of losing these things?

What good has Russia done since WW2? Haven’t they invaded multiple countries since then just so they can take land and resources? The right wing love affair with Putin and Russia is simply amazing.

What’s the well documented other side to why they invaded Ukraine? A made-up Nazi theme?

Is 4.5 trillion more than billions? Please inform me on how giving the wealthy that amount is going to aid the average Amercian? Is it more trickle down economic? It hasn’t worked in the past, so what makes you think it will this time.

I can’t seem to find the place where I said we had to fight Russia, please advise where I said that. Aiding Ukraine with weapons isn’t the same. We aid a lot of countries with weapon, should we stop doing that also?

My point was that you could basically always find someone affected negatively somewhere because of a policy decision by a politician. You found a random story of a guy losing his job, like it was some huge indictment of Trump. If your story is really that big of an indictment on Trump, a story like the Laken Riley one is an even bigger indictment on Biden. On the flip side, if the Riley story isn't an indictment of Biden, then this story certainly isn't an indictment of Trump.

Hasn't America invades several countries since then too? There's a lot of middle ground between thinking we should mind our own business and having a love affair.

My point is 4.5 trillion is an insane number. So ridiculously high I can't imagine it's accurate.

It would be awesome if we would stop aiding other countries with weapons.

So the mistake was which Gaza it was. I'm just not sure it matters which one it was.

You don't think it matters when someone speaking with the power of your government behind him says "$50 million for condoms to Hamas" when the truth is "$83.5 million to prevent and treat HIV and TB in Mozambique"?

Orange traitor golfed 2 of his first 9 days in office this time and golfed every 5.6 days in his first presidency costing taxpayers over 200 million. The felon sexual offender was at one of his properties 1 out of every 3 days in office for the first 4 years.
I wonder who pays for all of those trips to the orange turd’s properties and who makes money off of those payments? No waste or corruption to see here.

Americans pay for his golf and we pay for continuous criming and subsequent litigation, court cases etc. Insurrection was probably over 4 million when all said and done. One expensive traitor.

Sitting in church today, listening to a sermon from the "sermon on the plain." Church is always good, but it has been especially meaningful to me, lately. Whether or not you believe in a "God" (in any form), or that Jesus is in some way the "Son of God," Jesus was a pretty compelling dude. Preached that we should all help one another, and that those who abuse power will fall and be replaced by those that love others. People we moved by his message to an extent that the powers that be murdered him, and now 2,000 years later, the most popular religion in the world is based upon his teachings (at least, in theory).

Here is some of his sermon on the plain, from Luke (The Message version):

17-21 Coming down off the mountain with them, he stood on a plain surrounded by disciples, and was soon joined by a huge congregation from all over Judea and Jerusalem, even from the seaside towns of Tyre and Sidon. They had come both to hear him and to be cured of their diseases. Those disturbed by evil spirits were healed. Everyone was trying to touch him—so much energy surging from him, so many people healed! Then he spoke:

You’re blessed when you’ve lost it all.
God’s kingdom is there for the finding.
You’re blessed when you’re ravenously hungry.
Then you’re ready for the Messianic meal.
You’re blessed when the tears flow freely.
Joy comes with the morning.

22-23 “Count yourself blessed every time someone cuts you down or throws you out, every time someone smears or blackens your name to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and that that person is uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—skip like a lamb, if you like!—for even though they don’t like it, I do . . . and all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company; my preachers and witnesses have always been treated like this.

Give Away Your Life

24 But it’s trouble ahead if you think you have it made.
What you have is all you’ll ever get.
25 And it’s trouble ahead if you’re satisfied with yourself.
Your self will not satisfy you for long.
And it’s trouble ahead if you think life’s all fun and games.
There’s suffering to be met, and you’re going to meet it.
26 “There’s trouble ahead when you live only for the approval of others, saying what flatters them, doing what indulges them. Popularity contests are not truth contests—look how many scoundrel preachers were approved by your ancestors! Your task is to be true, not popular.

27-30 “To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the supple moves of prayer for that person. If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more payback. Live generously.

31-34 “Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them! If you only love the lovable, do you expect a pat on the back? Run-of-the-mill sinners do that. If you only help those who help you, do you expect a medal? Garden-variety sinners do that. If you only give for what you hope to get out of it, do you think that’s charity? The stingiest of pawnbrokers does that.

35-36 “I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting a return. You’ll never—I promise—regret it. Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us, generously and graciously, even when we’re at our worst. Our Father is kind; you be kind.

37-38 “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”

39-40 He quoted a proverb: “‘Can a blind man guide a blind man?’ Wouldn’t they both end up in the ditch? An apprentice doesn’t lecture the master. The point is to be careful who you follow as your teacher.

41-42 “It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this I-know-better-than-you mentality again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your own part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.
