Trick plays

Hayden's flea flicker to open the game against ISU. I was there and loved the way it was run. I've always thought that handing it off and then pitching it back was no more effective (or not much more) than a play-action pass. Pitching it back and then handing it off always seemed to me to be a better way to freeze the LB's and safeties, but this is one of the few times I've seen it run like this. This brings me to one conclusion: CFB and NFL coaches either no nothing or they know a lot more than me.

The OSU polecat when we were already kicking their ass would've been the best one in Iowa history if Kluver hadn't fallen down like a dumbass. He had one chance in his entire career to do something even remotely cool and he blew it.

I mean it set up Nate Stanley's most badass TD (with the OSU guy hanging on his leg), but still. Come on Kluver.

Every time I watch that I think that this is the time he gets in the end zone. Still waiting.

Kluver stumbled because he had to come back for a badly underthrown pass. Don't put it on him, put it on Rastetter

I was just waiting for the Wisconsin fake punt against us to be the last clip. Like a Hawkeye Rickroll. So glad that didn't happen.

Everytime I see Charlie Brown approach the football I think that this is the time Lucy doesn't pull it. Still waiting.
It ain't happening. Lucy's pissed because Charlie wouldn't have three way with her and the little red-haired girl. He's just not into S & M I guess.

Yep. Passes, punts, everything he did was shor

First of all 99 that's hilarious.

2nd of all hawkdrummer absolutely correct. If that throw is on the money he walks in the endzone. We should feel fortunate he caught it to begin with with the throw being behind him like it was.

I'd say it worked out alright in the end though.

Imagine how tough this is for Rastetter...there is a 270 lb DL with a free run at you, and you need to release the ball essentially at the same moment your receiver comes off the LOS. Worst thing you can do in that situation is overthrow it, so understandable that he short-arms it a bit. It really isn't that far behind him.

Doesn't explain his 35 yard career punting average.
