"I grew up watching Notre Dame with my family, and it’s special to know that one day I will put on the gold helmet and play (there)," Ruhland said. "It’s also only two and a half hours away, and I have a very good support group. I’m sure they’ll be coming, plus Notre Dame’s tradition of winning and competing for national championships.The coaching staff is one of the best in the country and will get the best out of me."
Ruhland, a starter on Cary-Grove’s Class 6A second-place team in 2012, is a three-star prospect, according to composite rankings by 247Sports.com
