Thanks for getting this ball rolling. I'm really starting to get excited with some of the early interest in the Hawkeye's a few of the kids have shown.

I've seen Amara Darboh twice now. He looks great but also like he can vastly improve. He's an Iowa kid we don't want to get away.

Could you possibly put Scout or Rivals start rankings next to these guys? I know they are arbitrary but for us that have no idea who these kids are it would be helpful :)

You could even rate them yourself if you'd like.

And thanks for putting all this together.

Thanks for putting this information together, it is a great reference. How many scholarships do you think we will have available for 2012?

You can go to hawkeyeinsider.com to look at the scout star ratings if you want to.

Amara is a future college football star. He has only played football for three years.

He has offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Notre Dame (He has been to Nebraska too, and I think they will offer very soon). ND just offered over the weekend when he visited. He will be in Madison this weekend for Wisconsin-OSU. He has been to Iowa City for both the ISU and the PSU games, and will likely be there again for at least one, maybe two more games.

He is a great kid and I will personally continue to work on getting him to IOWA!!! :)

Shhhhh, that could be some sort of tampering or recruiting violation!

Nah. I know the kid pretty well. Just helping him out. :)

Think about it, if older, wiser people around you knew the best decision for you to make, wouldn't you want them to share it with you?! Haha. I am kidding, of course. I am definitely giving him space, but he knows where I stand. He will do great no matter where he ends up. And I will support him no matter where he ends up.

I agree. Amara is a stud. To my knowledge, he is a high priority target to Iowa. I really hope we end up landing him!

All I will say is that I feel pretty good about it. I will leave it at that. He is not going to make a decision until next summer/fall. At least that is the plan for now. Go Hawks!!!

Darboh was practically invisible for much of the championship game, until the 4th quarter, when he blew my mind. The kid has serious potential.
