Apparently didn't give Mich St. real game tapes....cut out shifts and motions. King Urban denies everything.

Why are teams under sanctions rated? Just a question. If tOSU goes thru the season unbeaten and by a stroke of luck, every other major FBS team has at least 1 or 2 losses, could they possibly to win a national title?

You're doing it wrong
 
They can win a split title if the AP votes them number one. They can't be ranked in any BCS poll.
 
Not disagreeing with you there in regard to Dantonio, his discretion's are based on dirty play. Urban doesn't believe the rules apply to him off the field, pleads ignorance, and usually gets a pass.
 
OSU can still win a division title and be in the record books as such, just can't participate. They even get the trophy. MSU's coach reported it to the B1G so we'll see how it turns out. I'm sure nothing will come of it, but who knows.
 
Serious question here, could someone maybe with some coaching background or something please explain where this tradition of trading tapes started in football or why it is just the norm? I go scout baseball teams myself if I want to see them or send someone to film or watch for me. Same with basketball. Just wondering why football does this. Can't they just DVR the game to make sure they get everything or do these team shared tapes show more? Just have always found this tradition odd I guess. I've always thought scouting should be done on your own time and initiative myself and the most organized and hardest working program in this area might get a leg up on the competition.

The teams trade edited or "cut" videos, showing just the actual plays, not the whole broadcast. Doesn't make sense to duplicate the significant effort to cut out commercials and time between plays, so the tradition evolved for teams to share their prior games' edited film/video.
 
DVR isn't gonna help enough. You can't see all the routes. most of the time the camera just zooms on the QB
 
Shocking! tOSU committing skullduggery! Wisconsin whinning and complaining! What's next? Referee's with up to date optical prescriptions?
