13. Iowa Hawkeyes (Previous ranking: 18)
The Bilastrator believes the Hawkeyes are among the best teams in the country but have not yet put it together entirely. Remember, Iowa should have closed out Villanova and Iowa State and could very well be unbeaten right now. The Hawkeyes had Wisconsin in trouble before Fran McCaffery was tossed from the game. This is a really good team that just needs experience winning big games.

Some other notables are MSU #3, Wisky #4, O$U #6, clowns #8, Nova #12, Mich #22

Seems fair....Bilas knows BB. But, Hawks do need to get it done vs top teams at CHA this year.
 
Ya imagine if we'd won the close ones. It would seem according to Bilas we would be an easy top 10, probably around #4 where he has Wisky.
 
I agree that Bilas know his stuff. I also think he has us right where we belong...just out of the top 10. The number 13 team should be able to play a top 10 team on the road or a neutral court to a 3 or 4 point game. We have 16 games left plus the BTT and are on the brink of being a 2 or 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

I like your optimism Windsor... but Bilas is right, let's win a few big games. Don't worry guys we will, and definitely will at home.
 
I really like Bilas. He is one of the most knowledgeagle annalists in college basketball, and has always had good things to say about the Hawks, although not during the Lick Years.....

Somehow despite the moaning and groaning, we are still up there with the big boys....

We have seen glimpses of how good this team can be and like every year at Iowa, we will improve as the season progresses. I cannot forget the final game of Fran's first year at Iowa at Carver against number 4 Purdue with Cesar Guerrero behind the bench.....

If we improve as much as we did the last 3 years, come march this team has no ceiling.
