Top 20 Coaching Jobs in College Football

I disagree with a ton of those.

I don't see the mid tier SEC jobs as good ones. You're expected to compete every year, competition both on the field and in recruiting is top notch and you're going to be on a very short leash.

Oklahoma State? An average team in a conference that is in limbo. Have to recruit against Texas and Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State is only in there becuase Boone Pickens dumps Millions of dollars into their program. I think the whole athletic complex is from Mr. Boone Pickens.

Having ASU, Ariz, and OkSU on the list are suspect. Boone having a lot of money doesn't make it a better job. If anything, he just has money to pay your severance while he finds a new coach.

Iowa has to be pretty close to this list, we do pay our coach over 3 million a year (which is alot for where our program is right now) and not to mention the fan support.

I seem to remember during the 2010 Arizona game the commentators doing a piece on how a very small number of Arizona's players actually hail from Arizona. So kinda hard to buy the recruiting hot bed line. If I recall they pulled most their kids from California and the Pacific Islands.

Over the last 30 years Miami won more national titles than anybody and they didn't make this list ? I know they are a small private school without huge funding but come on. 4 different coaches won a national title there. Best recruiting in the country. What am I missing here.

Stadium is 20 miles away from campus.....NFL town, NFL stadium......Even when Miami is rolling they have difficulty selling the stadium out.

How is competition and expectations make them bad jobs? Coaches in the SEC know that if they win the league they get a shot at the title. No other conference can make that claim, which makes SEC jobs that much better.
