I don't see the mid tier SEC jobs as good ones. You're expected to compete every year, competition both on the field and in recruiting is top notch and you're going to be on a very short leash.
Oklahoma State? An average team in a conference that is in limbo. Have to recruit against Texas and Oklahoma.
Over the last 30 years Miami won more national titles than anybody and they didn't make this list ? I know they are a small private school without huge funding but come on. 4 different coaches won a national title there. Best recruiting in the country. What am I missing here.

How is competition and expectations make them bad jobs? Coaches in the SEC know that if they win the league they get a shot at the title. No other conference can make that claim, which makes SEC jobs that much better.
Because job security would be a determining factor. For me at least.
