1910 - Hawks went 13-0 starting season that whole season. best start to a whole season since 1909 went 12-0 national champz.

4-0 is nice but the Hawks haven't played anybody yet, and haven't played a game away from Carver.. I'm hopeful but this team hasn't proven anything yet. Just trying to keep my expectations in check, particularly after a few shaky performances. Hopefully this team will get it together.
The good thing is that it's been a little shaky so far, but it has not cost the team any games yet, unlike last year...

If Lick was here in 2008-2009 why would we have to look back to Alford for a better start?
the 2003-04 they started out with just one good team in Louiville beating the likes of
UNC Asheville
Drake
Louiville
Wisconsin GB
Eastern Washington
N Illinois
the losing to UNI
losing to TX Tech
beating Eastern Illinois
losing to Missouri
to finish the OOC at 7-3, they lost to 3 good Teams and beat 6 cream puffs, I don't see any difference
we have coming up Western Kentucky, Witchita State, UNI, ISU and VT before they go into BT play

If Iowa had played teams from other major conferences, or ranked opponents, it would be different. People are just trying to keep their expectations in check.
Don't take everything so personally (or think that it's personal toward the team)...
