Times Now Set for Seven '18 Hawkeye Games

I really like the later start times for the first three games. I come in on Friday night anyway, but I love early fall evenings and have never fallen in love with 11:00 a.m. starts. Like the MN/Iowa start time, too. Will be very interested in the Iowa/WI start time. I am betting on either a night game or a mid afternoon at the least.

The start times for the first 3 home games are absolutely horrible. 11:00 games are the best.

Unless you come for more that just the game. Many of us coming from out-of-town...even out-of-state, enjoy the time with friends tailgating and taking in the Iowa City vibe. The old school 1:05 kickoff was hard to beat. Night games for big contests.

Still mobile passes available looks like. $250 a season ticket isn't bad. Just don't get to know your seat neighbors as well as you would if seat was always in same place.

I'm going to take the selfish way out and say I like the times. My kid plays his last year of youth football this year and games are on Saturday mornings at 9:00.

If they were easier to resell I'd buy two of 'em right now. I live 5 hours away and it'd be perfect for me and a buddy of mine who lives in the same town. What we'd like to do is each take our kid one week, go just the two of us one week, for a total of 3 games and sell the rest. With kids the flexibility of season tickets is nice and it's cheaper than cherry picking games if you can sell the remaining ones. His wife and other daughter don't like football and I'm single with just one kid so it'd work out perfect.

I like the 11 o'clock games so it is light enough on the way home that I can see those damn state troopers.

5 hours is a haul. Thankfully only live within a half hour even with traffic.

Not to get too picky with you Huck but the first 3 games take place in Summer and the Wisky game is right at the cusp of Summer to Autumn. It can be damn hot those first few games so I would say 2:30 for first game could be rudely hot so the smart start time for that game is 11 AM. But the TV gods know the hawks bring decent numbers of eyes to TV. The night game for UNI I think is not bad because again it could be hot, 4 PM start is weird. I really dont like most night games just because of the late drive home like many thousands have (many going farther than my 2 hour drive). Anyway, I will be vacationing the first 2 games so I dont have to worry about start times.

One night game a year is great if it is with a top opponent because those are like great parties especially if they get the win. Now I have no idea what UNI - Iowa will be like but except for 2009 most of those games are pretty blase.

Love the later start times. Means I won't miss the second half because of my own team's games and gives me a chance to actually make it to one or two. Haven't been to Kinnick in far too long.
