Time to go Brian

You know what, I get the KF hate, at least from a pure football standpoint.

But it's not happening. Unless Iowa goes 5-7 or worse multiple seasons in a row, KF is here as long as he wants to be. To me, at least, he's not worth hating as a person and his brand of football does have a few positives (namely defense and the ability to hang with most opponents). There's no point in working yourself into a fervour, because Hell will freeze over before Barta grows that type of sack.

Which brings me directly to point 2: I don't want Gary Barta within a 10 mile radius of our next HC search. The guy is 100% incompetent. The only "notable" thing he's done besides fundraising is hiring Rick Heller. I don't hate Fran, but he's topped out, and that was Barta fixing a mess he created anyways.

So unless Bruce Harreld and the Board of Regents grow a spine or decide they have enough money any time soon, he's not going anywhere either.

End rant, I'm gonna go have a beer and enjoy the rest of my weekend. Night fellas.

agree with you on barta. but if the fan support leaves, the kingdom crumbles. that's really the way it works. even dipshit barta understands that.

PSU graduated the best skill position players they had. Iowa returned all of them.

PSU found better players and beat Iowa because Iowa's returning skill players mostly suck.

man...that's just depressing. i don't agree our skill players suck, but they damn sure are not put in positions to succeed.

It doesn't make any difference if you script your first 15 plays when your three-year starting QB can't complete a pass in those fifteen plays longer than four yards.

...................... and if it wasn’t for a miraculous and spectacular catch we would only have six points on the board.

Yes, play calling was non-inventive – few adjustments were tried. We were actually open sometimes downfield, if only Stanley had been told to stop throwing to the wrong shoulder. But let’s face it, player development and one Epenesa can’t usually counter a team full of ranked athletes, i.e., Michi-goths, Ohi-ho’s, and Ped’a-penns. They got energized late and pushed us around. But strangely, that coach in Wisconsin with primarily developmental players has found a way, even using a youngster as a defensive coordinator.

1 td in the last 8 quarters. Impressive strides we have made on offense since last year.

Watch we will score 35 against Purdue, people will call Brian a genius again, then we get shut out at WI later.

it’s the same with this team every year. We do just well enough against the bad teams, then get completely exposed on offense against the good teams.

Last year our defense was so good that they scored a lot of points themselves via Tds and safeties, which inflated our “scoring average” making the offense look better than it was. They also set up the offense in great field position so much.

This years defense is solid but they haven’t generated the turnovers. Our field position hasn’t been nearly as good because of it.

The constant is bad offensive play though. That’s apparent.
