Ticket prices to go up next season



I myself was a little upset when I saw that. And surprised. I thought with the weaker home schedule they would keep the tickets the same price and wait until next year to bump them up a little bit. Oh well, I guess its not going to keep me from buying them, but I also see them not selling as many this year.
 


I know $14 for each season ticket isn't going to break me and isn't a lot, but this team was 8-5 last year and even without the increase I don't think they would have sold the season out like they did last year in season ticket sales and won't now, but imagine how much they would have raised them if Iowa had lived up to expectations last year and did go 10-2 or 11-1 with a BCS win.

Not to mention the home schedule kind of sucks this year, next year with Nebraska, Penn St, and Iowa St coming to Kinnick I can see tickets going up even more to around $425 each and then the donation on top of that as well.

I would expect a small increase every year at least until the basketball team starts averaging up around 15,000 per game again. Plus with the new practice facility in the works, an increase should be expected.
 


Ticket prices are set via supply and demand. Last year, demand greatly outsripped supply. Demand is down some this year, but its likely still high enough to sell nearly every single ticket while charging a slightly higher price.
