We aren't physical enough to have that title. We don't beat teams to a bloody pulp. We're more like a Rocky than a Drago. We outwork teams, and now the talent level is high enough for that to make a serious difference.

Don't know if you can say we are back? The future does look bright however! This team represents Iowa the way Iowa should be represented. Hard working take no sh** guys that never back down or quit!! These are the traits I try to install into my daughter and this is why I'm proud to be a Hawkeye. I am very excited to witness the future of the Hawkeye BB team!!

Anyone notice Fran smack Archie in the side of the head after he had poor effort at setting a solid screen and the ball handler had to pick up his dribble, resulting in a time out. Last time I saw Archie in the game.

I think you are reading too much into it. I saw it is a good job for hustling, then he put McCabe in. Archie bought us a few minutes and made a couple of hustle plays, which is maximum effort for him.

Agreed. Anything we get from Archie is gravy, and I'm happy to see him be able to contribute something before he leaves the program. It seemed like everyone truly had a hand in tonight's outcome. You could look at just about every player who was in the game and find at least one good play they produced. Archie had his steal, McCabe stepped up BIG TIME, May seems to have settled into his role nicely and had a couple nice cuts and lay ins. This was just a good all-round team effort.
