This team is becoming one of my favorite team since 1987

Miller's 6-Pack in 69-70. No contest. Averaged over 100 points in Big 10 play. Lost the regional semifinal on a last second tip-in to Jacksonville who had Artis Gilmore patrolling the lane. Downtown Freddie Brown, John Johnson, Glenn "The Stick" Vidnovic, Chad Calabria, Dick Jensen, and Ben McGilmer,.

I know, I'm an old fart.

How long ago has it been since we had three straight 20 wins seasons? 30 win It's been too long ! We re gonna feel empty next fall when these guys graduated. I really enjoyed the season this year and we're in NCAA!
Sit back and enjoy the ride . Relax.

In my lifetime

1. 1980 final 4. The fabulous few. Ronnie Lester, Bobby Hanson
2. 1987 elite 8. Roy Marble. Kevin Gamble, BJ Armstrong
3. 2001 BTT champs. 2nd round NCAA tourney. Reggie evans
4. 1996 Andre Woolridge team
5. 1999 sweet 16

For some reason, no memories from 2006 or 1993. No idea why.
2. 1987 elite 8. Roy Marble, BJ

'68, '70, '79 & '80. Three Big Ten champs & a Final Four team. Sam Williams, John Johnson, Freddie Brown & Ronnie Lester. Also, a nod to Glenn "the Stick" Vidnovic.

The '06 season was really fun, it's a shame it ended the way it did. Undefeated season at Carver, some big non-conference wins, B10 tournament title, Alford flexing on Mich St after Thomas' dunk was my favorite Alford moment ever.

The 2001 season was fun, with the run for the B10 title and at the time seeing to be a precursor to bigger and better things to come.

Davis' last year was great, Settles getting back on the court, Oliver's behind the back court pass to finish Arkansas in the tournament, knocking off Kansas AT KU, getting the first road win in OSU's new building, watching Joey Range beast people.

Loved the '97 team with Andre singlehandedly carrying us all year and Pitino saying he was the best point guard Kentucky played against all year.

The NIT team with Settles, Kingsbury and Woolridge was a fun season too.

The '92-'93 season could have been a great one, and had some of the most memorable moments but obviously Street's death will always hang over that one.

2013 has to be on this list too, as it was fun to finally be back into Iowa basketball and feel like we were on the right track again.

I really enjoyed the following teams:

1992-93 (With Street)
1996-97 (Woolridge's senior year)
1998-99 (Sweet 16 team)
2005-06 (25 wins, and BTT title - too bad NWST happened)

This year's team ranks up there somewhere in that crowd. Part of it is that it's been such a long time since we've had an Iowa team playing this well, and a lock for the dance so it's simply a breath of fresh air, but I'm really enjoying watching this team play. They seem to have learned how to finish games. It's a beautiful thing.

Not so much favorite, it just feels like the program is back at least where Mr. Davis had it. I'll sit back and enjoy the moment, then you start to wonder if they can take that more difficult next step.

I'm an old fart too. "The Stick" may be my all time favorite Hawk. Plus, he & Calabria have two rings!

I was at that game and DT was a good friend of mine. He used to play for SCC down in Burlington. Good man... I took my hot date there.
