Congratulations on developing people for the NFL. At the same time, I'd be happier with 2 more wins per year. I know its not an "either / or" question but it makes me wonder why it the wide world of sports ya can crank out NFL guys but can't compete and win more consistently against the top 20 teams in the NCAA.

Iowa is a developmental program and everyone is comfortable with that.

Iowa is 4-5 against the top 20 the last 2 seasons - it's not spectacular but it's not consistently not competing either. I would like to win more too FWIW

Coaching and play calling, imo.

Meyer, Saban, Harbaugh, Swinney, etc. are no dummies and don't hire dummies to work under them.

At the end of the day, players make it to the NFL on individual talent which KF is very good at developing. But putting an orchestrated team effort together with 22 guys week after week takes another level of talent that this staff (and most others) doesn't have.

He's the weirdest person in college football but nobody can deny that he wins games, is arguably the best recruiter in the game, and he puts an awesome staff around himself.
