At the risk of sounding like a creepy stalker guy, I prefer this site because of Jon.

I've never met him and don't know much about his personal life, but started out on the free boards when HN was part of Scout. I became a paid subscriber when Jon took a stand regarding some less than family friendly advertising that Scout was putting on the site. I've appreciated the values and ethics he displayed ever since and gladly followed him over here when he went off on his own.
