Which street will they name after Kirk?
That field won't extend past the first down marker.I think inevitably there will be a 'Ferentz Field at Kinnick Stadium'. Just like universities name courts after coaches. Gonna piss me off.
This year I still have faith in my original regular season win/loss prediction...8-4. Our Defense is outstanding.
Desolation Boulevard.
You need a dose of realityWell...if this were the SEC, we'd have better offensive linemen based on the family payment system that goes on in the SEC.
God...this is no different than any other year where injuries have decimated a position. Banwart was hurt in camp...A. Jackson goes down in the first game...Schott goes down...and we juggle the rest. Moving Kallenberger to guard is a step in the right direction...but you can't expect him to dominate against a team as seasoned as Penn State. He needs some time...unfortunately, but I thought he did well for the most part in the passing game. Honestly, I think we may have to start the true freshman, Britt at left guard. We should have better depth...and I honestly thought we did, but the older players are not playing like 5th year seniors. That's surprising.
We played two pretty good defenses...especially Penn State. They pass the eye test.
We have a couple of weeks here where the mistakes won't be as magnified and the pass rushes not nearly as athletic. Let's see if we can find an OL combination that will beat 5 of the next 6. Wisconsin isn't going to happen for us.

A lot of Iowa fans are worried that Brian is a lock to be the next head coach. If so, I am a bit worried he will bring his two brothers on to the staff as well.
I think by law, once Kirk retires or is pushed out, the UofI has to advertise to position. I wonder how many would apply for it? I'm sure most candidates will already know Brian will have the keys handed to him, so why waste your time. It's sad to think that there are other coaches out there who are more qualified than Brian and won't even have a chance at the head job.Having Brian take over as soon as Kirk retires is 100% the plan. The only question remains is whether they can keep the program average enough for him to actually take it there. They want a couple of good years and then KF will walk away and Barta will sign off on it.

If Barta simply hands the keys over to BF just because that what Kirk wants, then there needs to be riots. And then a new AD.
Think French Revolution.
Didn't Michigan fans a few years back get so angry over something with their football program that a large group of them went to the AD's or President's home to protest? If Barta simply hands the keys over to BF just because that what Kirk wants, then there needs to be riots. And then a new AD.

That or they heard there was a slumber party at Harbaugh's house.Didn't Michigan fans a few years back get so angry over something with their football program that a large group of them went to the AD's or President's home to protest?

No, he does not.So he doesn't make the coaching hires? If not, then that's precisely my point.
No, he does not.
