They should just fire Riley at halftime

I'm living proof that I've drank too much program history kool-aid when past history doesn't mean jack with regard to winning in today's era of college football. Poor life decision, my bad.

P.S. Please, someone tell Steve Deace that Nebraska does NOT need to be good just because history said so...20 years ago. No one cares about Nebraska reascerting itself. Let the free market prevail. Thanks!
 
Was at the game and observed the following:

1). Greatest fans in the world started for the exits when they went down 0-14
2). No identity on either side of the field for NU; sad how this program has drooped off the face of the earth without getting in trouble with NCAA. Horrible mismanagement of a program.
3). Wore my Iowa gear to the game and one of their fans popped off "we could be like Iowa, run the ball 3 plays and punt, run the ball 3 plays and punt again..."
Response: and you still got drilled 40-10.
NU fan response: "I know" and that was the end of the conversation
4). Very little positive execution on either side of line
5). Need to game plan against Spielman; only bright spot on entire team
6). Score goes to 0-35 they must have been handing out free cars outside the stadium as it was a mad rush to get outta there
7). Actually feel bad for their players as they will be going through another overhaul in 45 days. For some players it will be their 3rd coach in 5 years

That's the best fan base in football! Hahahaha Run for the exits! Way to support your team! Yes our sellout is still intact. Thank you big corporations for buying all those thousands of tickets that went unsold.

I wouldn't count on Frost if I'm a Husker fan. I think he was jilted by not even being considered when they went and got Riley. Granted they'll have a new AD whenever they begin the search. Weather they fire Riley prior to new AD is anyones guess. Frost will have better options, the TN job will be open, the Texas A & M job might be open. I don't see him as wanting to be the returning savior for that program but we'll see.
That TN gig is a sleeping giant. The right coach could flip that around in no time. They've recruited top 15 classes I think or better for the duration of Butch Davis's tenure. I thought they had a couple of highly touted QBs on roster to try and replace Dobbs but the couple guys they've had in there stink. They are the opposite of Iowa in that I bet all the WRs on their 2 deep were 4 star kids. I think that gig will be the domino starter in the coaching carousel this year.

Think so? Firing Riley now means they are getting an early start or they know they can get the guy they want. Wait til the end of the year, means you are in it with everyone else looking for a coach or you can't get the guy you want.

It's hard to say since they haven't fired him yet. Nowadays so much is being discussed without "Being Discuss".
 
Worst team in the conference but in 2nd place in the West. The Big10 needs to do something about the West being so bad.
