Most of you on this board are the problem. You're all a bunch of idiots with too high of expectations and no idea about the reality of Iowa football...they suck.

Hell, last week after beating an absolutely horrible NW some of you were talking playoffs and most of you were talkimg about a B1G title game. Thats mental!

Last week, in my thread, I gave you proof Iowa is bad. 1 win against a team with a winning record (UNI) and a loss to bottom dweller ISU. Still you chose Iowa to beat a Minnesota team that actually has a pulse.

What talent did I happen to miss that some of you saw that made you think Iowa could beat Minn, Nebby, or Wisky?

No disagreement from me about the state of the program. But I am holding kfootball to an expectation that, in his 16th season at Iowa and with a, mostly, seasoned roster returning, Iowa should reach the B1G championship game; particularly, with such an easy schedule. On some levels, it is an expectation and not a belief. Nonetheless, we haven't been mathematically eliminated yet.
 
Can you tell me one good team Minnesota had played and beaten. They also lost to Illinois two weeks earlier. Your holier than thou approach to your infinite knowledge is humbling. Thanks for your insight and superior intellect.
 
I'm confused on what we are the problem of. Are you saying that few people talking playoffs is the reason the team went out and got **** stomped?
 
No he's telling everyone how smart he is to say we weren't a good football team before Saturday, and somehow he knew Minnesota had a pulse....despite their not playing anyone, barely beating NW, luckily beating Purdue, and losing to Illinois. It was clearly evident how good Minnesota was.
 
Oh, and I forgot to talk about how good Minnesota's passing game is...they rank like 115 or something in college football. However, Leidner looked like Manning yesterday...so one game makes a career and he somehow knew that would happen too.

I was smart enough to know they had a pulse. Enough of a pulse to absolutely embarrass Iowa.

Yea but that still doesn't explain what we were the problem of.
 
I wonder how many people on this board actually think that the people who were talking playoffs were being serious?

yes...they had a pulse...and I'm pretty sure most of them have penises too. If you are telling us you predicted Minnesota 51 to 14...I'd like to see your prediction thread. Much like NW somehow beating Wisconsin, this one is in the head scratcher category and possibly an anomaly of sorts...perfect storm type of stuff. Leidner couldn't hit the broad side of a barn prior to yesterday and he threw a few that were incredible. The fact is, no one expected Iowa not to show up at all on defense.

With what has gone on this year with this team...it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for us to win two of three down the stretch or all three...but I could also see us tanking all three. It's a crap shoot right now.

Good observations. WE are not nearly as bad as we looked nor is MinnyHaHa nearly as good as they looked yesterday. Minnie played the perfect game of their careers and we were unfortanate to be the team on the otherside of it. Their QB could do nothing wrong. Every pass was a laser,every decsion precise.He'll never play another game like that one. My biggest concern was how easily they man handled us on both sides of the line.

Bottom line we are what we thought we are. A very average to poor football team that is lucky to have the easiast schedule in years to help it look better than poor. This is due to our coaching staff. The blame is entirely on their failures and KF is the chief blame which is unacceptable in his 16th season.

You're correct. Beating a Kansas-dominated 2-7 Iowa State team with KF IS an unrealistic expectation.

Minny doesnt have much of a pulse. They have OSU at home and then at Nebby and at Wisky.

If those three opponents play like they can they will probably annihilate Minny. I think Minny's best chance for one win is at Nebby.

Iowa lost becuase they played like crap, the offense and defense were listless and not aggressive like their coaches.
