One statment made by a radio station and this board has went nuclear. Has there been a comment by the station regarding the source?? Has anyone inquired where their infromation came from? Are they still standing by their report?

Yes, there would be reason to remain anonymous even after it's all said and done.

I don't think anyone on this board would want to know the source(s) in this case.

The radio station had nothing to do with today to be honest. Everything was in full gear well before they made their announcement. And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the station's source is us.

This is not true. Dochterman from The Gazette said rumors were flying around Indy all day today. People have been posting for 2-3 days now that rumors were flying around Iowa City. Jon's claimed to have heard considerable rumbling the last several days. Gary Barta refused to talk to reporters after the game and sent out a statement that not once referenced Lick or his staff.....only the players. It's not JUST the radio station that has talked about it.....they're just the first that stuck their neck out in order to take credit WHEN it happens as being the first to report it. My feeling is that the gist of it is correct, but it WON'T be a resignation.....it'll be a straight termination.

I've said from the begining this thing smells.

Either way (If it ends up being true or not) this is bad.

The undisputible fact through out all of this is it has generated the most interest in the basketball program in a long time.

That's very telling in my opinion. And not something that should be dismissed or ignored by the University.

This place went nuclear long before KCJJ went on record. Out of the mouths of babes.

Have they made a follow up statement? In their initial report where did they say their source was coming from? I do not know what they officially said?

Their follow up statement was that they are standing by their source. I doubt you will ever hear who their source was. This whole thing has made the administration look pretty bad. So I imagine it will be anonymous forever.
