The only thread dedicated strictly to Kozan

Who cares? Let the kid decide whenever he feels like it. If he's a Hawk, great. If not, we still have a fine class coming in. Alex Kozan doesn't owe me - or you - anything.
When did I say he owes me anything? It was a simple question about a possible deadline.

When does Kozan have to finally make a decision? What the hell is he waiting for for God sakes!

The above quote seems to indicate you believe he owes you a swift commitment. If not, fine, but that would hardly be the first time that sentiment has been expressed.

Alex Kozan has the right to commit (or not) to anyone at any time. He can quit football, if he wants to. It's called liberty.

Drake he's been projected to both guard and tackle. Most think he'll end up at guard but that doesn't mean he can't play tackle, he's only a inch&half shorter Riley

As for my credentials well I'm a brain surgeon that join the navy SEALs at a young age. The SEALs thing was fun but my title run in the UFC is something I'm especially proud of. Now that I'm retired I usually just help Nick Saban out with scouting reports on high school players, give general advice to republican party members and help the MCAT with future questions..... So NFL experience on my end, good job on 'knowing' someone that once played in league but if you were to hang out on my expensive boat you'd meet plenty of those guys plus my hot 6 model girlfriends

My apologies...I figured you for a proctologist.

Here is the SCOUT.COM and Rivals profiles on Kozan. Only you project him at tackle. Maybe you should contact both and let them in on your evaluation of Kozan. You might get a job offer...if Saban can possibly do without you.

Gonna quote this, for the record, you know. Being taller or shorter than RR has nothing to do with being a tackle...watch his film (if you understand how to grade it). Kozan is thick in the torso and thighs, not as athletic as MZ or RR, who were multi-sport athletes.

Maybe you have an insider in Ft Kinnick (message boards are loaded with those that claim that) and perhaps the coaches told Kozan they felt he "could" play there (The NFL prefers drafting left tackles over guards) but I'll put my cred on the line, he'll play guard at Iowa (barring injury at that position) if he signs with us. What cred do you put on the line?

BTW- why you hatin' on our walk-on's? Don't you know our history with these kids? Did Rob ban you from HI? You were talkin' sheet on that board, now you're spouting off here. What's your story, pal?

My story is and continues to be WE WILL WAIT FOR KOZAN & your idea of handing it to a walk on is not plausible. You wanna act like you can break down film that fine but at least get your knowledge up on Iowas current scholarship situation (there's barely any room for Kozan if any due to being oversigned!)

How many scholarships are handed out to walk ons at Alabama? Few if any, maybe grey shirts but there are few actual walk on story's there. I have no problem with walk ons getting a scholarship everyone in awhile but KF is in his 12th year, we shouldn't be banking on walkons when you can recruit.

So for the uptenth time I dont care where you think Kozan projects to (doubt you predicted Reiff was going to be a LT when he came in as DL or Gallery who came in as TE). It's the fact you this kid doesn't want to be a hawk which you obviously don't know and you wanna give his scholly to a walkon even though we oversigned recruits this past class. You are obviously wrong and are just hiding behind some mythical 'CFL' experience (that I could careless about) claiming to know his future position but not the future of our team in scholarship numbers. Who does that? Watch and grade film of a HS kid for their favorite team and yet not know that they oversigned their class? On a side note I'd love to know how you got kozans game film that you graded and watched.... oh I bet you used a highlight clip and that was good enough for you, cause that's what the experts do. I'm sure they do that at the NFL combine, "hey can you give me a 3 min highlight to a cool song of your best plays"..... As for Rob Howe(DOiHAVEaPRESSpass) if you wanna stick up for him that's fine, I'd love to hear you say how awesome he is.

PWNED

Give the frickin' scholly to a walk on. Dude ain't worth the sweat.

This is your original stupid quote.

Do you know he doesn't want to be a hawkeye? Did you hear the rumor his parents wouldn't sign his LOI?

Do you know that these same sites that you used to claim Kozan is a guard also shows that Iowa has 87-88 guys on roster with a scollie and you can only have 85 come August time.

So my minor premise that he can play tackle/guard is still up in the air as right or wrong but I did read the coaches say that like to try him at the outside. But your MAJOR premise with no backings that this kid doesn't wanna be a hawk and we have room to just hand out a schollie to a walk on is flawed and wrong. But continue trying to convince me that you are an amazing explayer that almost made the NFL and I'll continue to talk to my 10 hot girlfriends on my big boat due to this being the interweb.

A swift one would have been to sign when everyone else signed. Just sayin...carry on.

I sure hope he becomes a hawk!!! We need someone with his commitment and swift decision making abilities.

So Rob Howe did ban you? Go figure.;) Say hi to your mom.

Give the frickin' scholly to a walk on. Dude ain't worth the sweat.

Again here's your orginal stupid quote. Admit you were wrong that you don't know anything on Kozan and you don't know about Iowas recruiting scholarship situation.

But no instead you wanna talk about my mom, Rob Howe and how you think your knowledgable at breaking down film. You wanna avoid the fact that you posted something stupid by arguing a position projection and making up football experience over the interweb. I could care less what you claim to have done or can do cause this is the Internet. Face it, for being such a 'knowledgable self proclaimed scout' you don't know jack about this situation. Don't be butt hurt that you were wrong and talk about other things other than the fact you didnt know Kozan wasn't being a drama queen and we don't have room for a scholarship player

1.) I highly doubt you have actual game film of Kozans to break down
2.) Anything you know about Kozan you got from a quick Scout/Rivals free analyst and missed out on the rumor that he wants to be a hawk but he's parents like Auburn thus won't sign the LOI. You need a guardian signature on a LOI until your 21.
3.) You use these scout/Rival sites to support your idea that he's a Guard only prospect but yet you fail to use these sites to reveal Iowas current sholarship situtiation.
4.) You claim a 6'4 300lb linemen that is a 3star/4star that has/had offers from Iowa, Mich, Auburn, and 20 total D1 offers is worth the sweat cause you apperantly are so knowledgable?
5.) From the horses mouth Kozan himself after his early visit. He said that they wanna try him on the outside first.

Continue on talking about irrelevant things and avoid your orginal stupid quote.

FUISU, what Drake said (projection/breakdown wise) is not the first time I have heard this. I am not saying he does, but maybe Drake does know a thing or two about football at the next level. I also don't find it hard to think he could know someone who went on to the nfl, after all it's not like Iowa is last at sending them to the pros . So maybe Drake played for Iowa and so did his brother (maybe not). Maybe Drake was scout team for Iowa but knows players who went on. Point it it's not hard to imagine.
Stop making a big deal out of the give the scholly away comment, most of us know he was saying, schollies that go to kids who want to be Hawks are the best ones. If you are right and the kid is pushing the date (I think he has to sign by April 1st right?), in an effort to show his parents that they either sign and he goes to Iowa, or he doesn't go anywhere, that is by far and above proof that he does want to be a Hawk. None of us know why he is not moving on anything.
Finally projecting is fun, but just like Iowa coaches, you have to keep an open mind, because after all you are projecting humans and that is very hard to do, because well they are humans. The coaches at Iowa put everybody in the best place for success, and that's whats important.
