The Journey - Tonight at 6

Man...that was some crazy stuff. The radioactive stuff where they had to isolate him in the basement. That's nuts. It is a miracle of science that he's playing B10 basketball right now. Patrick has three more years after this year...think about him and the Murray twins in two or three years. Find a center and a point guard...and you are going deep in the madness in March.

They can make a crazy long lineup with the 2 McCafferys, 2 Murray's, and Nunge.

Haha I doubt that'll ever be a starting lineup but it'd be cool to see that lineup out there just for a short stretch. That's crazy
They have already played Keegan as a 2 tho so Kris would be the only one that's not probable. Double brothers on the court would be cool.

Even tho Kris is behind Keegan it's very possible he's equally skilled at the hustle game and just can't shoot as well. Imagine having two people like Keegan at the same time hustling like that. Then add in Patrick too. It would be really fun to watch on the defensive end anyway.

It will be interesting to see if Connor gets some time back at PG once JBo moves on. Depends on the young guards.

I like JT, but he has not gotten any better this year IMO. He has not regressed either. He is what he is.

I am intrigued by the two freshmen guards.

PG will be the biggest question mark next year by far. We are loaded at the wing position and I think we know basically what we will get from Nunge (a serviceable starting center with some upside potential as he moves into a starting role)

The McCaffrey family story is a good one. In a vacuum, Fran and Connor are not the most likeable people. Both have an edge and intensity that only their fans like, and even that is not always the case. But, when you fold the mom and Patrick's cancer issue into things, it is a nice family story and it is great to see the brothers having big roles in their father's most talented team during his long coaching tenure.

Let's hope we get a Hollywood ending out of this (three seconds, Iowa down by one, McCaffrey shoots, IOWA WINS THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

It's a radioisotope to kill off the thyroid. It works two-fold. 1) To make sure to kill off any residual cancer at the surgical margins. 2) Kill off the rest of a thyroid totally so that treating with Synthroid is much easier. It's easier to regulate the meds if the rest of the thyroid is baseline and non-functioning than try to mess adjusting meds to a partially functioning thyroid over time.

This happens with people with hyperthyroidism as well. They will kill it off to get a baseline of 0 then manage with meds/Synthroid. Easier to manage that way.

Oh Margaret can have an edge and rub people the wrong way. Some say that she kind of wears the pants in the family. Remember her getting kicked out of Sienna games for cussing at the refs!!
