The I'm just worried about beating Wisconsin thread

This game Thursday night would be huge if we could pull it out. Not concerned about anything beyond that. Sweeping Minnesota and Wisconsin probably wasn't something anyone thought was possible this year. Make it happen Slimey.

Bad feeling about this game. Wiscy was horrible from 3 when we first played them. They lead the conference in 3 attempts and they wont be that bad again.
Our only hope is SLIME TIME! It would be "huge."

Everyone is going to have to step up. EVERYONE. Defense and rebounding baby, defense and rebounding. Little CHA love, you never know. Cartwright possibly not playing is a big concern for me but I think I am one of the few for some reason.

I'm with ya on the no BC thing. Did you see how the who-sures tried to beat Marble up as he brought the ball up the floor? Fortunately it didn't start until the second half. But an entire game of that could really wear on a guy.

Cartwright seems to have some of his better games against WI, but defense isn't his forteit when healthy, so I can't imagine how Taylor would abuse him with a tweaked ankle. Oglesby may not provide the flashy assists, but he is a better shooter than Cartwright and hasn't been prone to prolonged poor decision making like BC has at times this season.

As EddyP stated above, it will take a team effort. Ryan will have 2-3 guys mugging Gatens all night you can be sure of that.

If memory serves me Marble guarded Taylor in the first meeting quite a bit and locked him up pretty well. Taylor had a problem with his size.

Worried? I am petrified Wisconsin will make those wide open looks they missed in Madison.

Why were they "wide open looks"? Yes they shot poorly but so what. Don't take so many 3's then. Or make more of them. We beat them on their floor, period. Some of you need to come to grips with that i.e. "changing the culture".

I hear ya. Keys to the game for me.
1) Basabe needs to bring it again defensively to support our length defending the perimeter. They can't have a clear lane when they get by our defenders.
2) JO needs to hit some big shots. This will take some pressure off Gatens and allow him to operate better.

Wisky has won 8 of 10. Their only losses were to OSU and at MSU.
They are playing as well as anyone in the league right now.

Hawks need to play very efficiently on offense, no turnovers, no fouls, and try to get an early lead and get the crowd howling at weasel Bo.

Berggren is shooting lites out from the arc lately as well as Taylor,Brueswitz, and Gasser. Evans is improved, and Brust will try to lite us up....crowd needs to get on them all, early and often.

Without Bryce it is going to be very tough to push pace like we need.

I am so happy that a fan on a message board isn't looking beyond the next game. It is crucial that people who have nothing to do with the program focus on whats important, the next game.

My keys to the game:
Uptempo game, score in 70+
Defend 3's
Outrebound them.

Should be a lot of energy CHA.
