I follow them on Facebook and apparently they bought the old Jimmy's American Cafe building on 8th St in West Des Moines and they are planning on opening an Iowa/B1G themed bar and grill. Should be interesting to see.

Well thats nice, but I herd there is a new sports bar coming to town called EA Sports Bar with 70 inch HD TVs right next to what is now the palm (Jimmys American Cafe) or a location off of Jordan Creek Parkway with multiple team themed. Which I would rather have, Dont get me wrong cause it will be a hawkeye spot. They are going to offer a chance to win a new car, super bowl package and a hawkeye bowl game package.

I think the new place you're talking about is going to be called "Jimmy's BIG 10" and is located at the old Jimmys. It's opening August 1st.

And it maynot be on 8th street as stated since there may be a place already on 8th street(jimmys b1G) so his second location will be off of Jordan Creek parkway near Taco Johns with 10 70 inch flat screen hd tv's plus 10 55 inch flat screen hd tv's. with food ofcourse, and mma fights, nfl sunday ticket, nhl, nba league pass, mlb extra innings, it will be mostly a hawks,cornhusker,notre dame,iowa st, cubs, cards,chiefs,vikes,bears,broncos and packer bar. but ofcourse they have 20 tvs so i think they will offer every game that is possible.

No His name Is Michael, and maybe a partner named Rex. They also said they might delay the opening til oct 1st or sept 2013
