If I recall correctly Lavin did one of Iowa's last games this year and made a point of noting that Lick was on the hot seat. He made a couple more comments that struck me as having an unusual interest in the Iowa coaching situation. It certainly wasn't the usual coaching fraternity mantra of "Fans just need to patient and give him more time." Wish I had made notes on exactly what he said. Anyone else recall that?

Yeah it was at the big ten tournament game against Michigan, just said there was alot of buzz on press row about how hot Lickliter job is. That was like a few hours after this site and others blew up with rumors and KCJJ reported day.

Yeah you are probably right about that. Lavin is probably a better fit for DePaul (Chicago) or St. John's (New York City). But we can always dream!
