The fact is, we haven't had a great team since '08

'08 was our last great team. Yes I know we won more games in '09 but we won with consecutive blocked FG's against a 1AA team, voodoo interception returns against Indiana, and last second heroics.

In 2008, we had a generational talent at RB. He was the team.

Before that you had to go back to 2004, our last B1G championship.

People forget the kind of heat that Kirk was under after the 2007 season.

2005 was much like 2010 - coming off a great season, we expected to be great, expected to contend for a B1G championship or better.

Instead we **** the bed.

The two years that followed were horrendous horrible years.

When we were sitting at 3-3 in 2008, I think most Iowa fans were under the impression that it was going to be Kirks last year.

I think Kirk's seat is going to get really uncomfortably hot after next year unless we win 9 games.

With the talent that we have coming back, that is going to be a tall order.

Oh yeah, and O'Keefe sucks too.

wtf???? We won our only BCS Bowl game in 2010 correct? After the 2009 season, where the Defense was simply LIGHTS OUT. AJ Edds, Pat Angerer, Clayborn etc.
How soon some fans forget?

Your act is getting old Bruce. Reading your posts is like listening to Born To Run over and over. It's a good song, but not when you sing it 3,000 times in a row.

Have you listened to the whole album because there are some real gems in there.

I'm assuming you've heard Thunder Road but what about Jungleland?

Also Backstreets is pretty epic.

I mean the same song, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

again.

And we all know Ghost doesn't sing "I'm a Believer" over and over again...

Nah, the 2010 Orange Bowl, Bcs Champ team was bad. Sarcasm if you can't tell. You are an idiot! Not sarcasm.

HOW DARE ANYONE CRITICIZE TEH COACH WHO IS A NICE GUY AND WHO DEVELOPS WALKONS INTO PERENNIAL NFL PRO-BOWLERS?!?
PLUS HE GIVES SOME OF HIS HARD-EARNED $3.7 MILLION BACK TO THE UNIVERSITY as a tax dodge.
You whiners are NOT Iowa fans.

HAHAHAHA! That paints the mentality of many fans. Sugarcoat everything.

I think the only great team we've had under KF is 2002.

Great team yes, but I'm fine with the good teams. My biggest complaint is the style of play. It's the reason we constantly have trouble with Northwestern, Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois despite having far more talent.

We've obviously done something right recruiting and developing players with all the NFL caliber players that have come through. Everyone seems to look at face value at seasons like 2009 and say, hey we did great. We made it to the Orange Bowl and won. I think it raises questions when we have the talent to accomplish that yet had scares against UNI, Arkansas St and Indiana. That shouldn't happen on a regular basis.

I don't like this control the ball conservative approach. I also don't get the constantly taking a knee before half approach especially on the road (Iowa St., Minn., Nebraska). At some point you have to show more will to win before you are forced to in the last 3 minutes of the game.

I will literally buy you an Oregon hat if you promise to never post here again.

The team that didn't win an Orange Bowl?

The 2009 team, no matter how they did it, found ways to win football games, and won a BCS game. I'm not sure how you can say that wasn't a great team.
