The Bucknell Bison

Located in Central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna Valley

Perhaps in prehistoric times there were bison in Pennsylvania
Daughter went to Bucknell for first two years. Nice school. Horrible location. She couldn't take the depressing weather and middle-of-nowhere environment.
Maybe... if we were Amish?
Transferred to UNC Chapel Hill.

I had to look since you planted the seed.

Google informed me that yes, there most likely were bison in Pennsylvania and the Susquehanna area. However, they were the smaller Eastern variety, not the bigger Plains buffalo.

The last recorded bison killed in Pennsylvania was in 1801.

History lesson over.
