The Corn Belt

Iowa and Nebraska should be playing for a title belt and call it the corn belt. What do these two states have in common more than anything else? Aaron Rodgers did it in the Super Bowl, and how cool was that. Trophy games are all over the place, a "Battle for the Corn Belt" would be something new. Huge sales of replica belts for fans.

need to have a belt for tailgating fans...each year before the game teams will compete in bags, ladder golf, beer pong etc

Nebraska doesn't even grow corn all that well. They have to pipe in water to the western part of the state because the corn don't grow worth a sh*t there.

It wouldn't be smart to base the rivalry on corn. Iowa dominates Nebraska in corn production by about 1 billion bushels per year.

But per capita nebraska produces more with 808.9 bushels per citizen compared to iowas 718.13

That is suprising that Nebraska is third considering about 60-100 miles west of the Missouri it starts to get difficult because you have to irrigate and the soil only gets sandier the farther west you go.

Grain Belt could be the official beer for tailgating before the game.

Definitely think any trophy/belt involving corn is a great idea. Who outside the midwest would ever associate either state with corn (heavy dosage of sarcasm).
