The Nico thing made me stop and think about players down through the years who had lot of expectation and yet never quite lived up to them....for various reasons. I'll take a shot at a few, jump in with yours. Willie Guy, Champ Davis, Greg Garmon, Blake Larson, Dan Doering, Marquis Simmons,

Willie Guy had entry/eligibility issues. Champ had a ton of injuries and never stayed at one position long enough. Garmon was neither as fast as advertised, nor was he durable. Blake never panned out, Doering had injuries and mono, Simmons was a transfer.

To this list I add: Brandon Wegher, Aaron Greving, and Chris Rowell.

Treye Jackson (going back to the '80's), Chris Felder, Tyler Blum (debatable), Terry Strauss (although I think he played one game), Cedric Everson, Cody Hundertmark off the top of my head.

Wrong. He got his shot, and he sucked

Based on the OPs original parameters, which were:

"players down through the years who had lot of expectation and yet never quite lived up to them"

I stand by my answer!

That's cool. Based on his text, that's a good one. I looked at the Subject line, which was a bit different.
