I was looking at the 1981 defensive statistics the other day...that team forced a lot of turnovers and was sub 90 yards rushing per game tough...and back in that era, that was huge...and it didn't have a great offense. I think that before all is said and done, this defense still has a shot to sneak up on the 2004 Iowa defense as the second best since 1981...I think you have to look at 1985 as a close #2 or #3...but this year's stats are real close to the 1985 stats
