The 2010 Game that concerns me most is........

For me it is the Arizona game. The travel and the late start time have be me nervous already about this game.

I think it's a tough game for sure. Add in the revenge factor and there is plenty of reason to fear this game.

It will be extra swet to walk out of there with a 2 score victory :)

Arizona should be the first landmine test this year. A strong showing out in the desert could really propel this team forward, but surviving and coming out with a win could be just as big. I hope the team shows up for that game.

It worries me as well. I have us going 11 - 1 with that one loss most likely coming to Arizona. Playing in the desert on a late Saturday night has always been a receipe for disaster for the Hawks. It does help us that Gronk is out for the year. That will give our LB's less things to worry about. I'm not overly worried about their offense. Their offense didn't show up in their bowl game. We also handled them quite well last year. They had one long run against us last year and that was aided by a hold. What worries me is guys wearing down and our offense being out of sink.

All of the games concern me.

Iowa will have a big target on its back this fall. I think most everybody will be out to beat the Hawks. To some teams that will make their season if they beat Iowa.

I just hope Iowa takes care of business each and every week come September.

I am glad they are traveling West rather than East.

With the fact that it is night game, all it means is they get two hours more rest.

After looking at this game really closely for the blog I wrote about it last week, I really feel like this game should be a Hawkeye victory. Arizona has a very good, talented, balanced offense, but their defense lost all three linebackers, both defensive tackles, a safety, and a corner. That is a lot to lose. Iowa's line will have issues, but may have gelled by week three and even if they haven't, I don't think it will be worse than it was last year, when Arizona's defense was better. Couple that with new coordinators on offense and defense and the fact that Iowa will be the first BCS opponent that Arizona plays, and I think Iowa pulls away in the fourth quarter for a 7-10 point victory.
Edit: Here is a link to the blog I wrote about the game. I analyze Arizona pretty closely.

I agree with Jameskalina--none of 'em are a sure thing, but the one that's starting to worry me the most is the Penn State game. I haven't reviewed what they've got this year, but my gut is twinging that this might be the year they get some payback. This is a proud, respectable, and storied program. Two years ago we ripped their hearts out with a great upset, and then last year we sort of embarassed them: white-out, national tv, stymied them in their house. I think we can beat them, I hope we can beat them, but I'm sure this game is already circled on their calendar.

We all should be very concerned and not at all surprised if this team does in fact lose this game. The memories of that 50-0 schlacking or whatever it was to ASU in a night game out there still are fresh in my mind.........

Arizona and NW. NW has had Iowa's number simliar to Iowa having PSU's number. Not worried so much about Arizona as Iowa will be going in with a Senior QB as oppose to Drew Tate as a Soph against ASU.

I know we have a number of big games next year but after last year the next game is the one I am the most worried about. So put me down for Eastern Illinois as the 2010 game that concerns me the most. That narrow victory over UNI is still fresh in my mind and after that game every game afterwards was scary except Iowa State.

I don't buy it. There's no "got your number" involved in falling on a QB while you're facemasking him. Arizona's the game I'm worried about.
Well considering Iowa is 2-4 against NW since 02, I'd say they have our number. Not to mention the come back in 05 at NW where they were down by 10+ points with less than 4mins to play and won.

It was a break that went Northwestern's way. Not unlike in 2002 for us against Penn State. That blocked field goal floated right into Antwan Allen's hands, the perfect deflection off the kick. Same thing for D.J. Johnson's blocked PAT return for 2 points.

Northwestern has our number lately. Period.

@Indiana
@Northwestern
Ohio St.

Indiana- where it sets up on the schedule, playing on the road in front of 30,000 people in a stale atmosphere......makes me more nervous than the Arizona or the Michigan game.

Northwestern- On the road against protype team in terms of beating Iowa. Can kill you with 10-12 play drives, short passing game and a thick lower body qb who can throw/run not necessarily on the perimeter, but where the real estate is at up the middle.

Ohio St. - More talent........just as well-coached.
